A Socio-Economic Group in Ekiti State, Leadership Advancement Platform, says the leadership style of the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, could only be compared to that of the late Chief Obafemi Awolowo and Alhaji Shehu Yar’ Adua in Nigeria.
In a statement made available to newsmen in Ado Ekiti by its President, Ayo Boluwade, and the Publicity Secretary, Mr. Femi David, the group said Tinubu had contributed to the development of many emerging leaders across the country.
It added that the views of such personalities deserved more attention than any other individual or group in the current Nigeria.
The group said, “Tinubu has developed many people across the country in their various professions through his personal wherewithal and also empowered many others politically.
“The selfless service and patriotism of the APC national leader was also manifested during the last general elections when the opposition (All Progressives Congress) defeated the incumbent and ruling party of the PDP for the first time in Nigeria history.
“The efforts put together to build APC must not also be expended on how to pull it down, hence leaders of the party must be wary of any power play that could affect the party negatively.
“Party supremacy needs to be respected at all times and views of the party leaders must also be regarded as sacred at the same time for President Muhammadu Buhari to succeed.”
The group said Buhari had so far displayed to Nigerians that his administration was put in place for all and that the demonstration of such could be seen in the recent appointment of service chiefs where an Ekiti indigene, Major Gen. Abayomi Olonishakin, was appointed as the Chief of Defence Staff. Click to signup for FREE news updates, latest information and hottest gists everyday
