Troops of the 3 and 7 Divisions of the Nigerian Army on Wednesday cleared some roads in Borno State for motorists and other road users to ply.
The Spokesperson of the Nigerian army, Sani Usman, said the roads linking Biu- Sabon Gari – Damboa in the state have been cleared of mines and insurgents for public use.
Mr. Usman, a colonel said the directive by the Chief of army Staff, Tukur Buratai, to clear the road became needful because of military’s proactive fight against terrorism and insurgents.
“The public are encouraged to use the road as adequate security measures have been put in place for their safety.
