FG full of lies, we are still broadcasting - Radio Biafra

The operators of Radio Biafra have rubbished Nigeria’s government for claiming that it has jammed the transmission signals of the station, which has been operating illegally from an unknown location.'

Dr Yemi Folasade-Esan, the Permanent Secretary in the Federal Ministry of Information, stated this while speaking with State House correspondents after she had briefed President Muhammadu Buhari on the activities of the ministry.

“We also gave a report on (Radio Biafra) that because right now the signals from Radio Biafra have been jammed. The National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) has successfully jammed that. The NBC is also working with security operatives to get those that are behind that radio because it is an illegal radio.

“It is not licensed by anybody to be on Nigeria’s airwaves,” she said.

But in a swift response, Radio Biafra wrote on Twitter that the NBC lied. “NBC lied to their master. Radio Biafra is live in BiafraLand. They cannot even ban our local station, do they even know we also transmit via satellite and online as well.”

What good will this benefit is to Igbo community other than your selfish interest, you enemy of progress? Better get this into your scull that no region or ethnic group can survive on its own, Nigeria has come to stay. Local Igbo people who will never appreciate development in their community.
