Following Tuesday’s bomb blast at Sabon-gari Local Government Area, Kaduna State Governor, Malam Nasir El-Rufai has banned street begging and hawking in order to enhance security.
In a statement issued by the Special Assistant to the Governor on Media and Publicity, Samuel Aruwan, all beggars and hawkers are to stay off the streets until further notice.
It read further: “Any beggar or hawker found on the streets will be arrested, until these measures are relaxed.”
In addition to the banning of hawkers and beggars, El-Rufai equally reiterated the ban on commercial motorcycle taxis in the state, stressing that “the law will be strictly enforced in this regard.”
The Governor urged all citizens to report all suspicious persons and movements to the security agencies.
He also commended the people of the state for promptly embracing the crucial necessity of watchful vigilance and attention to security. Click to signup for FREE news updates, latest information and hottest gists everyday

This is morning to you , let your people continue beg food on the street than to go school , GEJ is a bad man by telling those boys to go school.
ReplyDeleteThis is real change in Kaduna, but I'm not sure it's the change the Locals voted for? El Rufai is a thinking Governor though I wish him the best in his governance. He would have by far been a better candidate than a semi illiterate for APC and Nigeria.
