Buhari set to sack service chiefs



President Buhari is set to sack the service chiefs.

Presidency sources told NE   hat all the service chiefs would be relieved of their appointments before the end of the month.



The service chiefs are the Chief of Defence Staff, Air Marshall Alex Badeh; Chief of Army Staff, Major General Kenneth Minimah; Chief of Naval Staff, Rear Admiral Usman Jibrin; and Chief of Air Staff, Air Vice Marshall Adesola Amosu.

It was gathered that the President was considering leaving out the Inspector General of Police, Mr. Solomon Arase.

  1. What is he keeping them for all these while? These politicised thieves who had thrown the good image and professional etiquette of the military to the dogs. They should even be probed!!

  2. These "militician" service chiefs are a disgrace to their profession. They embarrassed one of their own - Buhari - by conniving to hide his credentials in the military's records, thereby allowing a General to be called an illiterate. They were not intelligent enough to realiise that the biggest embarrassment was not to Buhari but to the profession. They should be flushed out without further delay.

  3. Whatever the case may be, just get it right that sacking them is a common practice. They know already that they must go. The only abnormal thing is for them to remain in control till now. Ordinarily, they would have gone.
