Another fuel tanker fell in Lagos Sunday morning, June 7 on Lekki-Epe expressway. This comes after two fuel tankers fell at Iyana Ipaja and Idimu both in Lagos destroying hundreds of shops and vehicle.
The fall which happened just after Victoria Garden Cemetery by Forte Oil petrol station was not as ghastly as the previous two, although it is not clear if lives or property were not lost as at the time of filing this report.
It would be recalled that Lagos state governor, Akinwunmi Ambode has called for a stakeholder meeting with petrol tanker drivers and owners in a bid to stop the accidents and damages caused by them. Click to signup for FREE news updates, latest information and hottest gists everyday

ReplyDeleteWhy are the relevant authorities in Nigeria not learning any lesson from past accidents?
ReplyDeleteThis accident is the result of the failure of Nigeria regulatory authorities. It also show the negligence of the tanker drivers and their owners.
This is not party politics.
What has politics have to do with accident?
ReplyDeleteCheck very well.the youths engaged as tanker drivers are not patient enough.the speed like small cars forgetting the weight of the load they carry and the danger attributes to it
