Nigerian pastor gives out 22 cars on his birthday

The senior pastor of Champions Royal Assembly, Kubwa, Abuja, Joshua Iginla, on Sunday gave out 22 cars and millions of naira ranging from N50,000 to N500,000.

The pastor, who celebrated his birthday and that of his wife at the service, also unveiled 33 books written by him.

Presenting the cars, among which were 10 SUV cars to the beneficiaries, Iginla challenged the well-to-do in the society to assist the less-privileged.

The pastor, who said that he had tasted poverty and knew how it felt, said the less-privileged of today could become important personalities tomorrow.

“My birthday is all about giving to the needy. What I do here is just 10 per cent of what I do secretly.

“I give to teach people and to provoke them to give.I have many people on scholarship, I have widows on my payroll, we have rescued prostitutes and empowered them with skills acquisition programmes, I have orphans I am taking care of,” he said.

“I have schools of the handicapped that we have been assisting and the physically-challenged students irrespective of their religions. Gospel is practical, not only spiritual,” he said.

Iginla said this was the third time that he would be giving out all his cars without leaving any one behind for himself.

  2. If all Pastors are like you, I dont think there would be much suffering, when schools are built with church members offering, and the church members cannot afford to pay school fees. When pastors are telling lies and collecting money from people. You are really a good examples of what pastors should do? and not to be telling lies and competing with politicians, flying private jets about........ God bless you....

    1. I do appreciate the said Pastor cos I support giving myself and in my little way I can say that I am a giver. I have over time with my husband given out cars (maybe not brand new but very functional & without issues) But must giving be once a year? Must it be with so much noise? How many others are still in that church and around that need just enough to eat & pay school fees Instead of cars and one off payment why not build & register a school at a very susdized rate or even free if he has so much money, create a vocational centre, etc.

All the same, it's good to do good. But Action shall be judged according to intention

  4. what were the criteria to qualify as a beneficiary? did he give the cars to his loyalists and he is here blowing his trumpet? why not announce prior to the giving out day that he will be giving out all of his cars as gift to the public and let the press do their job to ensure it was transparently given at random and not to some loyalists or cronies at best....well good gesture but there is room for improvement...kudos just my thoughts

  5. It is better to give and blow trumpet than to defraud people and keep quiet. something good is good. I give KUDOS to the pastor. Ride on pastor and dont mind the critics for no matter wot u do, they must complain

  6. Pastor, pls when give our cars, do not give those that cannot even fuel the cars. It is better to give some money to start business which will help them and their families. I pray that what you are saying is really what you are doing and not in secret. May God bless and reward you. Amen.
