Every human being has a right to believe what he or she wants, and even preach anything. You can even criticise other faiths as you have done in this your posting. That does not threaten any one. But you cross the red line when you threaten those who do not believe what you believe or worship what you worship. There is no faith in the world that does not get criticised. People even made movies to insult Jesus Christ. Christians believe that their God is big enough to fight for Himself, and they do not need to go killing other human beings on His behalf. But not so with Islam. It seems your Allah needs you to kill for him. That is why the rest of the world sees Islam as the no.1 enemy.

Every other religion coexists peacefully with the other, why not your religion? Why can't you go along even with yourselves? For hundreds of years the place from where your religion originated has been the most volatile in the World. Why is it always violence with people of the religion? And compare with Christianity that preaches and practices peace and love, even to your enemy. And that is why you won't hear Christians fight in the name of Jesus Christ, especially to convert others into their religion, as followers of your religion do. DeleteMany Christians especially the ones in Nigeria haven't the faintest idea regarding historical aspect of Christianity. It is most convenient in this clime to castigate Islam and associate it with ISIS, ISS, Boko Haram et al even though these groups have clearly shown they are no respecter of any religion either Islam or Christianity. They have killed, raped, and maimed peoples from both faiths who differ or do not share there their wrapped ideology that has clearly shown that all these group are far away from the essence of Islam. However, the point here is that this is the time of trial for Islamic faith because of those who are disguising under its name to commit atrocities using its name as a disguise. There was also a time when the whole world was held under the brutal and bloody grip of the Christian Crusaders (Knights) that professes to fighting for God's cause on the orders of the then Pope in Rome to conquer countries under Islamic rulership. We all know the mayhem and carnage the Crusaders left behind on their trail in their quest to fight and conquer for Christ as were claimed back then. Looking back then, do you now say that because they did all those things claiming to be fighting for Christ that they were truly Christians? Let us come down to our continent in Africa. We are all aware of the age long battle by the United Nations and other African countries to bring to justice Joseph Koni, The self professed modern day Crusader (Not Evangelizing) in Central Africa of the Lords Resistance Army (LRA) who and his followers wants to forcefully enthrone the Biblical 10 Commandments on his people and other places in the region. Please Christians should spare a few moments to do a thorough research and google Joseph Koni, LRA, or the Aboki Kidnappings and know how to moderate their comments regarding self-professed religious armies or militias.
In Nigeria today, what we have currently is a crop of youths who have an apt deficiency in making research especially of historical nature but would rather hinge their arguments on hearsay and baseless facts and arguments where religious issues are being discussed. We need to all grow out of our comfort zones religiously and seek for facts based on historical accounts that are verifiable instead of the usual bandwagon and follow the crowd manner with which we have handled most issues be it Political, Ethnic or Religious, least we are mocked at by those who persevere to know the true fact.

DeleteThis thread is not for preaching one religious doctrine or another. The issue is why people of a particular religion kill and maim to force others to convert. If one chooses to worship egbesu, no matter what you think of it, it is his choice. You can preach anything to him if you want, but it is his prerogative to accept or reject. But we say it is devilish and unacceptable for adherents of one faith to, by use of violence, seek to get others to convert. That is what Islam does and has become the world's no.1 enemy.
