In another major blow for the ruling party, APC, Hon. Yakubu Dogara has defeated former minority leader, Hon Femi Gbajabiamila , to emerge as the elected speaker to lead the 8th session of the House of Representatives.
Dogara who represents Bogoro/Dass/Tafawa-Balewa Federal constituency of Bauchi State defeated his contender, Gbajabiamila who was believed to have been the anointed candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC after scoring 182 above Gbajabiamila’s 174.
