A former Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ibrahim Idris, on Monday denied being injured in an accident involving his convoy on Sunday.
He also said his personal car was not involved in the crash.
It was reported that a Peugeot 404 pick-up van lost control and rammed into the only security van accompanying Idris, who was on his way to attend a wedding.
It was further learnt that four persons in the security van and the driver of the pick-up van sustained varying degrees of injuries.
Idris’ former Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Richard Elesho, confirmed the accident in a statement.
Elesho said, “Alhaji Idris thanks friends, relations and well meaning individuals within and outside Kogi State for the superlative display of love for his person on hearing about the ill reports.
“He assures them that neither him nor his personal car was directly affected by the incident.
