Jesus! Is there a scientific explanation to this?
ReplyDeleteYah, if I can recall my elementary physics very well, we were told that, when there is a considerable amount of charge accumulation in the clouds and the negative charges happens to repel like poles, there's bound to be an ignition as a result of the repulsion, and if there is any conductor of electricity within the vicinity, the charges are bound to be emptied on the conductor, especially the tallest one with positive charges ( point action), dissipating about 6 million volts and a lot of heat in the process. If this happens to be a living thing as was the case with the woman, you can only but imagine the chances of survival. ( My explanation may be full of blunders but read about electrostatic electricity and point action. It will interest you to know that, science can indeed explain Sango)
DeleteMy dear this is Africa science best explained via metaphysics and mysticism. Lol
ReplyDeleteI beg to differ, I go with Atondu's scientific explanation. The poor victim just happened to be at the wrong place at the wrong time. Embrace science and stop placing too much emphasis on mysticism and paranormal.
DeleteLightening, not thunder please. It may have been in a bid to make your headline more sensational, but if you want to come off as a respectable blog, you shouldn't sound ignorant.
ReplyDelete"Thunderbolt"????? WTF
DeleteSometimes I dnt want to comment, i just want to upvote a comment I like and downvote one I dislike… nigerianeye u can upgrade and be better..
ReplyDeleteAll your explanation does not go with the incident, it happened in my town... The victim is my chirch member and a mother to a friend of mine.
ReplyDeleteNobody disputes the fact that you know the victim. If you disagree with the scientific explanation above, on what basis is that? Is it simply because it happened to your church member? Is that enough to dismiss the logical explanation? What's your own stand in this?
