Nigerians have joined World leaders such as Barrack Obama of the United States of America, Mr François Hollande of France; Ban Ki-Moon, Secretary-General of the United Nations and others in hailing the decision of President Goodluck Jonathan of Nigeria in conceding defeat to the president-elect, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (retd) of the All Progressives Congress in the 2015 Presidential election.
They took to social micro-blogging site-twitter, to thank him for congratulating Buhari and conceding defeat, a decision, many argued save the country from post-election violence. The hashtag (#GEJismyHERO), was created by his Special Assistant on New Media, Reno Omokri, who pledged his loyalty to his principal even in defeat.
Reno also stated that President Jonathan deserves a Nobel peace prize, do you agree? Click to signup for FREE news updates, latest information and hottest gists everyday

Shut up there hypo
ReplyDeletePlease.... Noble Peace Prize? Because he accepted defeat? Anything contrary to that will make him look like a sore looser. He's not the first president in this world to accept defeat. So please shut up about The noble prize. He knows the whole world got eyes on him.
ReplyDeleteNobel prize for corruption.
ReplyDeleteI think he does although I did not vote for him. But come to think of it. I believe is laid a good precedence. If Buhari loses in 2019 and concede defeat (should he re-contest for instance), should he be given a Nobel peace price too? That means you will be giving each Nigerian president demonstrating best practices in democratic systems every 4 years should the incumbents keep losing. So overall I think being the first incumbent in the history of Nigeria to lose and concede defeat especially giving the heightened political tension, I strongly believe he deserves a nobel peace price. That does not mean others should get in the future but President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan is a State man and the most important state man in Nigeria today (with due respect to others). I wish my president elect - GMB a good success within the next 4 years and thereafter. Up Nigeria!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteExcellent speech.
