Leaders of Igbo Town Unions and Markets in Lagos State met with Akinwunmi Ambode, Lagos APC governorship candidate, yesterday April 7th where they reassured him and APC of their support in the upcoming election.
The Igbos in Lagos were able to show in the presidential elections that they are a force to reckon with in Lagos politics.
Both major political parties have been jostling for their support in the governorship elections.

Useless leaders that easily succumb to threat. I cant even sympathise with you when next your market is burnt down because you are the archetect of your problems.
ReplyDeleteThey are speaking for themselves.
ReplyDeleteAgbaje is our man. Ambode is an errand boy for Tinubu and Akiolu. We reject him
ReplyDeleteJust like those igbos that were given information to the Hausas during the civil war, this group of selfish idiots calling themselves igbos should be branded saboteurs and banished from igboland. After being threatened and insulted by a demented Oba, they are here clapping and endorsing the same person over whom the entire Igbo race was insulted.
ReplyDeleteStop spreading hate, the great men have moved on. The Erats can continue throwing tantrums. #vote Ambode.
ReplyDeleteThe Oba of Lagos in an attempt to intimidate the igbos resident in Lagos has threatened to kill igbos if they vote for Jimi Agbaje for Governor. No body can test the resolve of our people. Igbo bu igbo let us now show our electoral worth and relevance by voting for Agbaje. Great warriors of Biafra, please teach this Oba a lesson with your vote. Any igbo who votes for Ambode is a slave. Send this to at least 5 others. Igbo kwenu ! !
ReplyDeleteYaaaa!
Deleteyou don't need to teach Oba a leason... the ibos did not vote for buhari in lagos he won lagos; the foolishness of an ibo man in this election is a shame; don't vote Ambode he will still win lagos and you will be struggling for his help just as you are now struggling to get senate president and speaker of the house anuofias #bringbackourgirls
DeleteWell said. Igbos dont do 2:0. Vote wisely, this is where you can succeed not east which is full of rivalry and obstacles.
DeleteWill Igbos always vote out of reaction? Think first what you stand to gain with either party, not voting A or B because someone related to B insulted you. You mentioned Biafra? That is what is dragging Igbo nation backwards. Come out of your past and forge on with the rest of Nigerians. #word#
ReplyDeleteKakaki eku ma je sese a ma fi sawadanu ni. Let us wait and see. Eko o ni baje
ReplyDeleteThe will of God we certainly prevail in the coming governorship election. it is not all about threat, nor certain endorsement activity. it is the almighty God who know all things, that will surely choose who will be the next Governor of Lagos State.
ReplyDeleteThe prayer i do pray always is for the will of God be Done, Not my own Will.
We need change in Lagos, it is not even about the Oba's comment, it is about wind of change that is blowing everywhere therefore, we need Jimi and we know he can do the work nobody went for school of governorship is a matter of wisdom and directions
ReplyDeleteThe Igbo Market Leader should speak for himself and not everybody, the senseble ones' who cannot go back to their vomit will vote for Jim Agbaje, we need change too in Lagos, no party owns Nigeria, Nigeria belongs to all and there alot of issues in Lagos, we need change, take it or you leave it
ReplyDeleteFrom all the comments, it is glearing that most of the contributors are either too young to reason Or they are just children! The igbo nation has always been the weeping child!
ReplyDeleteWhat is the fact is that whoever wins, the Oba will enjoy as Ambode was raised by Him and Jimi is His blood relation.
A wise business man will not dabble into a so called family issue and i think in that spirit, the true business men will always look for a peaceful atmosphere for their businesses to thrive.
Lets move on, and forget this issue. Whether the Igbo man likes it or not, He does not own Lagos!!!! and I sincerely think, we should stop dragging this issue with the Yorubas......No one can do same to us in Aba or Onitsha!
If I may ask, Why is it difficult for an Igbo man to develop his own home so as to attract strangers as Lagos has attracted people?
If Igbo man did not contribute in developing Lagos, will pple ever come to Lag, well Ambode you already lost my vote let me see how Oba will die in lagoon, coz I and my generation will not die.
ReplyDeletePut Igbo issues aside, we need BIG CHANGE in Lagos
