First Lady Patience Jonathan received tumultuous welcome from her kinsmen on arrival in Okrika, Rivers State, on Wednesday.
Mrs. Jonathan has not been seen in public since the release of the results of the Presidential election last week, which her husband lost to Maj. Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (retd.).
Jonathan’s visit is the first since the March 28 Presidential election, in which her husband, President Goodluck Jonathan, conceded defeat to the President-elect, Maj.Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (retd.).
Patience, who expressed surprise at the large turnout of people, thanked them for their love and support.
She described their warm welcome as a demonstration of their love and affection for her.
Mrs. Jonathan also thanked them for their prayers, support and belief in her husband’s leadership.
Some of the people, who spoke with the News Agency of Nigeria, said they were proud of the President’s wife.
One of them, Mrs. Remi Kuku, said Nigerian women had never had it so good until Mrs. Jonathan came on board.
“History will be kind to her, no matter what anyone or group says about her; she is a goal-getter and I wish her well,’’ Kuku said.
Also, Mr. James Bright said Mrs. Jonathan had contributed to the socio-economic development of Okrika people. Click to signup for FREE news updates, latest information and hottest gists everyday

DeleteYour mathematics is very poor! 90% is to small! U did not factor in the population of Nigeria and the number of year that is equal to a term in office. If you do, you will discover it's over 99.9% that will never become First Lady. Take it easy, stop speaking in anger.
Deletehahahahaah. it is not welcome of love and support, they all came out to listen to one of your stupid jokes, if i was in that area, i would have come too but not because i love and support you but just to see the face of stupidity. mama peace indeed.
