The Christian Association of Nigeria and National Christian Elders Forum have congratulated the President-elect and presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Maj. Gen. Muhammadu Buhari(retd.), on his election.
In their separate congratulatory messages, the two religious organisations also commended President Goodluck Jonathan for displaying quality Christian and democratic character by conceding defeat in the election.
CAN President, Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor, in his congratulatory message to Buhari, also saluted Nigerians for a peaceful election and called for “harmony between Christians and Muslims in their quest for a prosperous Nigeria.”
While praying for a prosperous future for Nigeria, Oritsejafor also praised President Goodluck Jonathan for exhibiting good sportsmanship in conceding defeat to Buhari.
The Secretary of NCEF, Pastor Bosun Emmanuel, in his congratulatory message, said, “Despite the enormous tension and apprehension that preceded the election, Nigerians have demonstrated political maturity that elections can be won and lost without recourse to violence or acrimony.”
While congratulating Buhari for his victory at the elections, NCEF wished him a successful tenure in office and “joined all Nigerians and indeed the entire world to commend his (Jonathan) act of statesmanship, quality Christian and democratic character by peacefully conceding of defeat.”
Emmanuel said, “It is encouraging to observe that Nigeria is maturing democratically. Today, we celebrate a sitting President, who after conceding defeat at the polls can say, ‘I promised the country free and fair elections. I have kept my word’. Mr. President, we are proud of you.
“The sterling Christian and democratic qualities aptly demonstrated by President Jonathan are in line with our objective that democracy must thrive and be firmly rooted in Nigeria. The fruit of democracy is a peaceful, just, fair, and equitable society. These are the pillars upon which we can build a prosperous nation. We shall continue to work to entrench these values in our nation.” Click to signup for FREE news updates, latest information and hottest gists everyday

You and ur compromised, bribe taking members of CAN are the ones that wanted to devide Nigeria and Nigerians along ethnic and religious sentiments during the campaigns. Now that u have failed woefully and your deceptions exposed we know who you truly are- fake prophets and charlatans that will soon face the wrath of God. So save your advise for the gods and gullible fools that will that will care to listen to them. After all God should have shown u this outcome before now
ReplyDeleteI see Mathias abebe that you do not fear men of God in the name of politics. You will reap the reward speedily!
ReplyDeleteNow what is this arrant stupidity?
DeleteMen of God u say? The same Ones that have continued to lick the boots of successive governments without speaking out against their corruption? The same ones who divorced their wife only to marry their choir mistress? Or the same ones who claim to hear from God and it doesn't come to pass? Give me a break! Where are the Elijas and Elishas of our time? The ones we look up to for direction in the church have turned out to be Self serving and ambitious

ReplyDelete@ Mattias Abebe and anonymous 12:18, I thought your likes have left this forum for those of us that speak the truth always. What are the two of you still doing in this forum? Somebody commented yesterday that "SUDDENLY, all nonsense comments have stopped". I think it should remain that way. O.J
