The apex Igbo socio-cultural group, Ohanaeze Ndigbo who had endorsed President Goodluck Jonathan prior to the presidential poll has however congratulated the President-elect,Muhammadu Buhari on his victory.
Secretary General,Mr. Joe Nworgu who spoke on behalf of the President General,Chief Gary Igariwey said,”Ohanaeze congratulates Jonathan for his statesmanship in the just concluded election.
“We congratulate the APC candidate,now President-elect on his victory. Ohanaeze thanks Ndigbo for harkening to their call to vote for the PDP candidate,President Jonathan.
“Ohanaeze stands on the plank that informed her election decision. That is, restructuring of the country by the use of the 2014 Confab resolution.
