Peoples Democratic Party candidate, Jimi Agbaje has declared his intention not to contest again for the position of governor in Lagos after the losing twice.
Agbaje who lost to All Progressives Congress (APC) Party candidate, Akinwunmi Ambode with a 152,206 vote margin spoke to ChannelsTV correspondent on Sunday evening after his opponent was declared winner.
According to the PDP candidate, Lagosians have made their choice and there’s no reason whatsoever to resort to violence.
“I tried once before, this is the second one. I’m not running again,” he said. “If I can’t be of service as governor, there are other ways of serving the state. I will find other ways of serving.”
Agbaje, 58, called Ambode some minutes before 6pm on Sunday evening to concede defeat to the APC candidate. Click to signup for FREE news updates, latest information and hottest gists everyday

ReplyDeleteLove ❤ you Jimi...I pray 🙏 they give a position somewhere someplace...We still love ❤ you...see you in Abuja
ReplyDeleteIt is honourable people like you we want in governance in Nigeria, Buhari please i voted for you but you should cross party lines and appoint honourable men outside APC as your assistants and ministers please. The idea is to make Nigeria a great country.
ReplyDeleteAnnonymous April 13, 2015 at 8:33 AM is hereby supported.Jimi Agbaje deserves something like this.Jimi Agbaje is seen as a nice candidate but he is in a wrong party(the gluttons AND EXTRAVANGANT PARTY).Reasonable Lagosians can not risk Voting Jimi Agbaje under PDP as Nigerians risked voting Jonathan because he is personnally good.
