The leader of the Peoples Democratic Party in Lagos State, Chief Bode George, says the loss his party suffered in the presidential election has strengthened his resolve to ensure victory for his party in Lagos.
He, therefore, said that he would strategise and lead a massive campaign against the All Progressives Congress, which has been in power in Lagos for the past 16 years.
George told our correspondent during a telephone interview on Wednesday that he would lead the campaign of the PDP governorship candidate, Mr. Jimi Agbaje, like an army general.
He said, “I am here and I will be at the centre of operation. The people of Lagos also want a change and we are going to be here to lead the battle. The battle is on and the people of Lagos want a change and we will ensure that we get it right.
“Lagos people know that this administration has mismanaged their resources. We are not leaving anything undone. We will reach out to the people during the campaigns.”
George said he would never defect to another party. “I will remain a member of the PDP till I leave this world,” he said.
The PDP leader denied reports that he said he would go on exile following the victory of Muhammadu Buhari at the presidential polls.
He said he would rather travel outside the country for a while in order to finish writing his autobiography, saying he had been unable to finish the book because of his busy schedule.
He said, “I have been travelling long before now and now I need a long rest. I am 70 and I need to tidy up my memoirs and if you want to do that, you need a lot of time away from all of the hassles. But it does not mean I will no longer be a Nigerian. I have no personal grudge against Buhari or all the other people.
“We are in two different parties with different ideologies and if he is the President, I have no objection and I wish him the best of luck. The break will give me time. Rather than running up and down to Abuja, I will be there (abroad) writing my memoirs and doing other things for myself. Of course I will come back, my mother is still alive. I am not scampering out of Nigeria.” Click to signup for FREE news updates, latest information and hottest gists everyday

Bode George you are a national disgrace pls follow you words go on exile and be a man
ReplyDeleteNice to know.
ReplyDeleteLeading the campaign team will be negative to Jimmy Agbaje, please go to your promised exile or u might just be on your way back to your known place as an alumnus cos once a convict, always a convict
ReplyDeleteElder, I think you are not addressing the real issues surrounding your party's demise and this will ensure that the nails are finally hammered on the coffin of your party come 11/04/2015 by the special grace of Almighty God.
ReplyDeleteYou are also not remorseful that the people has rejected your party from leading this great Nation called Nigeria. Your demonstrated attitude should be a concern to any right thinking Nigerian.
Your statements and that of your party compatriots reminds me of the statements of some Nigerians that were convicted for corruption in the past, rather than being sincerely apologetic and remorsefully, one of them was foolish enough to tell Nigerians that "He Will Be Back" i.e. "He Will Bounce Back".
Nigerians rejected your party from leading Nigeria based on Godly principles and all you and your party compatriots can do is boast to us that "Your Party Will Bounce Back". This is indeed rather very very unfortunate.
During this election, your party mostly depended on openly squandering the scarce Dollars of the Nation in order to buy the heart of electorates (especially the religious leaders and traditional rulers) but the majority of people in Nigeria depended on the Almighty God (the one that has the heart of even Kings in His Hands).
Your party has aligned itself with Weapons that are Carnal but the majority in Nigeria (including Lagos) have aligned themselves with the weapons that are NOT Carnal.
The Almighty God has already hearkened to the cry of sincere and patriotic Nigerians (including Lagosians) that we do not want a ruling party but a party that equivocally states that they are a governing party which means servants of the people.
Within the next four years, God will use APC all over Nigeria (including Lagos) to set the requisite Leadership Standards after which the stage can be set for serious politics in Nigeria henceforth.
Sir,
ReplyDeletePlease permit us to announce to you that it's no more business as usual Sir, the almighty God has firmly transferred power back into the hands of the people. Our votes now count through our PVCs.
By the special grace of almighty God, the Card Readers shall work perfectly come 11/04/2015 and your ruling proud party shall be firmly voted out of power even in many more states across the Federation.
Just like one patriotic Nigerian indicated, the following Bible verses are speaking against you and your party in general, I would implore that you kindly take time to read and meditate on each of them very well;
1) Proverbs 14 vs 34: Sir, it is righteous and the strife and thirst for it that will exalt our dear Nation and the unprecedented corruption and governance atrocities you and your party are known and obvious disgrace/embarrassment to our dear Nation Nigeria, e.g. Drug Baron Burugi Kashamu, Ekiti Gate Tapes, Corruption is not same as Stealing, etc.
2) Proverbs 6 vs 16-19: Sir, it is common knowledge that these are the key attributes of your so-called great party, you encourage pathological liars, murderers, wicked schemes (you postponed the election because you felt GEJ will loose woefully, and now it has happened), you encourage evil (thank God for the way Prof. Jega handled Elder Orubebe, your evil scheme backfired and GEJ was forced to quickly concede defeat knowing fully well that he can never be exonerated from the shameless manner (which for the records, GEJ has never officially rebuked to this day) that Elder Orubebe portrayed our dear Nation Nigeria, you encourage false witnesses who pours out lies and above all your party encourage GEJ to stirred up dissension among Nigerians who are suppose to see themselves as brothers (... in brotherhood we are suppose to stand.).
3) Ephesians 5 vs 11-13: Sir, it is also a common knowledge that your so-called great party encourages and rewards evil doers and workers of iniquity.
By this Sir, permit me to conclude that, it is only a foolish and unduly sentimental Nigerian that will believe that your party PDP in it's current composition and disposition as it is has any sincere thing to offer Nigerians and Nigeria at large.
Sir George?are you from Lagos?why so concerned about Lagos while your Village is underdeveloped?
ReplyDeleteYou are still around. You better go on your exile, PDP is dead in Nigeria .
ReplyDeletebye bye bode(bbb). exile straight...
ReplyDeletemany more are coming to join you
bye bye bode(bbb). straight to exile.... many more are coming to join you
ReplyDeleteMost of these old people we have in this country are just a bunch of liars, baba bode George is now changing his exile promise to autobiography writing ok oooooo, but it would have being better if you stick to your words as an old man that the young look onto.
ReplyDeleteBaba Bode George should be told that the Lagosian will prefer not to be governed by his likes, Obanikoros, Kashamus. Jimi Agbaje is not a politician and would probably be teleguided by these opportunists. APC should work hard to ensure victory come next Saturday election.
