The video below offers security agents visual hints that could help them track down at least two of the gang members.
The video also provides insight into how the robbery, which left six people – including three police officers – dead, was executed.
Videos of similar qualities have aided crime investigation in other countries, including the deadly Boston bombing of April 2013.
Recently, the police in France and the United Kingdom relied on videos of masked assailants to build accurate profiles for criminals in the Charlie Hebdo attacks and ISIS beheading.

ReplyDeleteAm sure even if the identity of all the robbers is made available on DVD and Video CD, Nigerian police will tell you they don't have a DVD or VCD player to watch the video. So wen making reference to countries, don't make the mistake of comparing Nigeria wit UK, France or the US though individually we have intellects, But as a government, sorry . Watch police crime fighting videos on Sony max and u knw what we have is not a police force but boy's scout.

DeleteI want to address the writer of this story. You have made mention of how videos were used in investigations in the USA and France. My question is, were those videos posted on the internet?
ReplyDeleteIf you were the gang members who appeared in this video, wouldn't you have been put on alert to escape?
You are quick to criticise the police for not bursting criminal gangs but you may have compromised their investigation by the released of this video.
