After failing for almost 15 times in capturing Konduga in Borno State, Boko Haram insurgents in their hundreds once again attempted to capture the town today by engaging soldiers in a gun battle for 5 hours.
The insurgents came very early around 7:00am Monday, and tried to attack the military base using herds of cows and a car filled with improvised devices.
The military who seemed to have known their plans were not shaken or distracted as they already laid ambush for them, blew the car from afar and killed 73 of them.
Sadly a soldier was lost in the battle.
