Abike Dabiri-Erewa, Chairman, House of Representatives Committee on Diaspora Affairs has also described the wife of the president, Patience Jonathan as the worst First Lady Nigeria has ever had.
She also labelled Patience Jonathan “an embarrassment to Nigerians and Nigeria”. Dabiri-Erewa was reacting to Mrs. Jonathan’s comments on General Muhammadu Buhari, the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate.
It would be recalled that Patience Jonathan described Buhari has brain dead.
Dabiri-Erewa noted that Mrs. Jonathan was not only crude in her actions, but her utterances had taken away the poise associated with the office of the First Lady,”
“Mrs. Jonathan is an embarrassment to the whole country. The only people shouting her praise or listening to her are the sycophants; outside them, nobody else does.
“She is crude and unrefined. When you travel out of the country, Nigerians keep asking you how we came this bad.”
Patience Jonathan’s statement was uttered at the Peoples Democratic Party women presidential campaign rally in Kogi state, relayed live on NTA.
She described Buhari as unfit to be the country’s president.
“Wetin him dey find again? Him dey drag with him pikin mate,” she said in pidgin English. “Old man wey no get brain, him brain don die pata pata,” Patience Jonathan said.
She has also asked her supporters to stone anybody chanting 'change'

How many times has GEJ been assaulted but none of you condemns such. Politics or no politics, GEJ remains our president.

ReplyDeleteMama peace might not know the implication of what she said. She wouldn't deliberately insult an elderly man, I strongly believe she doesn't know the right word/adjective to use. We all know she's got issue with expressing herself well in English. Abike Dabiri is not wrong in anyway, a first lady should know, watch and caution her utterances
