Special Adviser to President Goodluck Jonathan on Niger Delta Affairs and Chairman, Amnesty Programme, Kingsley Kuku, has predicted that the President will win at least in 21 states in Saturday’s election.
He stated this in Owo while meeting with aggrieved members of the Peoples Democratic Party in the northern senatorial district of Ondo state.
Kuku said All Progressives Congress was no threat to the ruling party in the coming election.
According to him, PDP would make sure APC did not secure 25 percent of the total votes cast in Ondo state.
The presidential aide boasted that he would defeat the APC State Chairman, Isaac Kekemeke, who is also from the same ward with him.
Kuku, explaining how President Jonathan would win the polls, said, “PDP will win in five states in the South-East, the six South- South states will be taken over by PDP.
“In the South-West, Ondo, Ekiti, Oyo belong to us ,while we will have larger votes from Ogun and eventually take over Lagos.”
He, therefore, appealed to the aggrieved members, who had been sitting on the fence since the beginning of campaigns for the general elections, to sheathe their swords and work for the success of the party at the polls.
Reading the resolutions of members to reporters after the meeting, former PDP National Legal Adviser, Olusola Oke, said they had resolved to remain active, committed and loyal members of the PDP, saying they would not for any reason abandon the platform they had laboured to build in the past 16 years.
Oke said, “Secondly, we all resolved unanimously that we believe in the transformation agenda of Mr. President. He has been able to make our economy the largest in Africa. Our rails are working. The aviation industry is doing well. There is economic empowerment for our people. There is capacity building. Our roads are looking good. Our health facilities are improving, therefore, he should continue.” Click to signup for FREE news updates, latest information and hottest gists everyday
