Edo State Governor, Adams Oshiomhole, has described the transformation agenda of the President Goodluck Jonathan administration as one which had failed to make any meaningful impact on Nigerians and the country.
Governor Oshiomhole, who spoke after a road walk tagged “March for Buhari” in the New Benin area of the state capital on Monday, said rather than meet the aspirations of Nigerians for 16 years, in various sectors of the economy, the Peoples Democratic Party had “deformed the country.”
He also challenged those who wanted continuity with the present federal government and explained what the All Progressives Congress desired change stands for.
He said, “What are the issues? We have two items on the menu chart: one group insists that they want continuity; they even insist that Nigeria has been transformed and we have another group of people who say that Nigeria needs change, change to a better future.
“Now people are asking, ‘What is the content of this change? What are we changing to, what are we changing from and, like those who want continuity, transformation, what have we transformed?’ For those that say they want continuity, what is it we want to continue with? For 16 years, PDP failed to deliver on one of the most fundamental issues in the Nigerian economy – the issue of power supply.
“Without power supply, nothing will work. Who wants us to continue in the dark? Are they saying we should continue living in darkness? NEPA does not give you light for months and yet they ask you, a democratic country, a free country, to pay fixed charges even when they deliver fixed darkness. Who says we should continue with this condition?”
He also decried the continuous importation of petroleum products and the sale of Kerosene beyond N50, even when, according to him, the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation had created a subsidy for the product. Click to signup for FREE news updates, latest information and hottest gists everyday

Adams I thought you're learned, but now I know you're an educated fool.
ReplyDeleteYou are a labour Union leader during Obasanjo, when you labour Union are frequently on strike. Now compare OBJ and GEJ and mark them. Why are all APC members lairs?
What are the lies in the lack of power supply nationwide, crippling economy, crash in the value of Naira, decaying infrastructure, corruption everywhere, lawlessness, nepotism, labour strikes, weak leadership that has been taken over by cabals etc.
ReplyDeleteAdams u are now a recalcitrant in Nigeria picture, you have lost all respect and will soon run away from this country , that ur stupid mouth that is running soon will be dry -up after the election-Foolish Primitive man
ReplyDeleteAdams you have lost your respect, it will be better for you to keep quiet, you and your party will soon give account to Nigerians' let's watch!
ReplyDeleteI wish Jonathan best of luck, wisdom, and more grace to transform Nigeria, your name will be written in GOLD at the end among all the past President so far, Goodluck!
ReplyDeleteI always wonder about the continuity they scream. I've been in darkness for straight three days and sometimes it spikes up to two weeks in a roll. Where are we going from here? The irony if this whole thing is that, in 2011, Oshiomole campaigned for Jonathan regardless of his party bcos he thought Jonathan wud deliver. Here we are. With all these things that is happening, can't we stop to think for once that Oshiomole and his party people are more concerned about Nigeria's well being than personal interest? Pls let us vote Buhari, if he doesn't deliver after four years, we vote him out! Election is more transparent with the introduction if PVC and card reader, so our votes count big deal! We can vote in and out anyone anytime anyday! Let's give Buhari a chance, Jonathan has gotten his.
ReplyDeleteYes Emilia has said it all, the power to put people in and out of power is in our hands, anytime anyday, since the introduction of PVC and card reader. No more ojoro. Jonathan has failed us, Oshiomole is right! It is time to give another a try. Let's give Buhari 4 years trial, if he doesn't deliver, we vote him out!
ReplyDeleteI remember wen Oshiomole was campaigning for Jonathan in 2011, thinking Jonathan is a better person, mtscheeeww. Now our eyes don clear! Dem no dey tell blind man say rain dey fall. My people of Nigeria, I believe we have sense, let's vote out this incompetency and vote in Buhari for a better tomorrow
