Mrs. Aisha Buhari, the wife of the Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Maj. Gen. Muhammadu Buhari, has said a vote for her husband in the Saturday’s presidential election is a vote for a better and a new Nigeria.
While urging Nigerians to vote for the APC in the presidential poll, Mrs. Buhari said her husband’s victory would mark a new beginning for Nigeria and Nigerians.
She spoke in Kaduna at a dinner organised for women in Kaduna State on Wednesday night.
She added that the security challenges confronting the nation had assumed an alarming rate and required committed government to address it once and for all.
She called on eligble voters to resist the temptation to sell their Permanent Voter Card, saying the card was their tool to vote in good governance.
Besides, Mrs. Buhari urged women to watch over their children and wards and ensure that they were not used as political thugs before, during and after the elections.
In her remarks, wife of Buhari’s running mate, Mrs. Dolapo Osinbajo, spoke on the poor living condition of women and youth in the country.
“How I wish I have all the money in the world; no Nigerian will go to bed hungry or sleep outside,” she said, adding that the way and manner by which the current government had handled the issue of the abducted Chibok Girls was questionable.
She wondered what could be political in the abduction of over 200 girls by insurgents since about a year ago. Click to signup for FREE news updates, latest information and hottest gists everyday
