The Presidential Candidate of the All Progressive Congress, Muhammudu Buhari, was nicknamed “Okechukwu” Monday, when he travelled to campaign at the Dan Anyiam stadium in Owerri, Imo.
The Governor of Imo State, Rochas Okorocha, described Mr. Buhari as the general’s general, who has zero tolerance for corruption.
He nicknamed Mr. Buhari, “Okechukwu”, translated as God’s portion in the local Igbo language.
He also prayed for the demise of the Peoples Democratic Party.
“May the soul of PDP rest in peace. May they never rise again,” he said as he welcomed ex-members of the PDP who defected to the APC.
Those who attended the rally included Chris Ngige, a Senator; Mr. Buhari’s campaign director and Governor of Rivers State, Rotimi Amaechi; a National Leader of the party and former Abia State Governor, Ogbonnaya Onu.
Addressing the crowd at the stadium, Mr. Buhari said it was his first time in Imo State and encouraged the crowd to vote APC at all levels.
He told the crowd to reflect on the state of the country including the collapsing naira and therefore vote out PDP.
“It is in our interest individually and collectively to vote PDP out,” he said.
He thanked the crowd for their patience even under the sun and assured that the party will emerge victorious at the polls. Click to signup for FREE news updates, latest information and hottest gists everyday

Truly this is politics but to eulogize the person who mascaraed and is still killing our people is absurd. You can hardly find Igbo people in the far north because Buhari is contesting an election. If it were Kwankwaso or Atiku. Igbos will not move in droves like this. So Okorocha put wedge in your senseless politics. Nigerian Eye if u like publish it b/c I know u will not
ReplyDeleteOkorocha if u like change his to Okuku Nkpojorijo og Imo , Buhari still remains enemy to Ibo people from time immemorial and cannot be compaired to GEJ and the benefits Ibo ethic nationality have enjoy after war
ReplyDeleteI watched the Imo campaign, i was just shaking my head for Buhari and his party, it is true that Fayose said Tinubu just want to use Buhari for their own political gain because even when Buhari was addressing the people you can see that there is no starminer in him, the man may mean good for Nigeria but in actual fact people around him just want to use him and let's tell ourselves the truth, Buhari cannot rule Nigeria and if i were this man i will stay back and be a stateman to Nigeria and retain my respect instead of joining your integrity with people of no value
