The Peoples Democratic Party has called on the Inspector-General of Police, Mr. Suleiman Abbah, to urgently investigate the alleged attacks on some widows in Imo State.
Director of Media and Publicity of the PDP Presidential Campaign Organisation, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, stated this at a press briefing in Abuja on Sunday.
He said the widows, under the aegis of Imo Widows Association, Jesus Triumphant Widows Association and Amuzi Widows Association, organised a rally in support of one of their own and current Minister of State for Education, Prof. Viola Onwuliri.
Fani-Kayode, who was flanked by the minister and two other widows at the briefing, added that the women, in their thousands, all dressed in black, had converged on the Roundabout, about three kilometers away from Government House, Owerri, on February 10, singing solidarity songs in support of President Goodluck Jonathan and Onwuliri before they were attacked. ReplyDeleteYou could have use your wives to do the demonstration. it is only in the PDP that widows has formed association for political gain, even many of the women there their husbands are alive but PDP has paid them to make them act like their husbands are dead. PDP is full of impunity.
Which widows are you talking about, women that were paid to come and demonstrate as widows. I hope your mother is among them. Ask her how much they were paid to come and demonstrate. Tell your PDP to desist from evil acts.
