Amid claims and allegations from the opposition party, Osun State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, yesterday, said it is in support of the call for a full scale investigation into the video that alleged the Osun governorship election was rigged.
The state chairmen of the party, Alhaji Gani OlaOluwa, made this disclosure in Osogbo, the state capital while speaking with journalists.
However, the PDP chairman argued that his party had been vindicated with the revelation contained in the video.
“The PDP will not take the revelation lightly until justice is done. Such revealing allegation cannot be taken with levity as it bothers on the electoral process; the burden rests on the APC to prove its innocence”, Olaoluwa said.
According to him, the leadership of the All Progressives Congress, APC, lacks enough evidence to defend the allegation.
It can be recalled that the Osun State chairman of the APC, Mr Gboyega Famodun, had challenged the Director, State Security Service, DSS, to investigate the video, adding that the video was meant to portray his party in bad light.
