The Special Adviser to Gov. Umaru Al-Makura of Nasarawa State on National Integration, Chief Ezedinma Chukwunonso, has appealed to Igbo not to leave the state before, during and after the forthcoming general elections.
Chukwunonso gave the advice when members of the Igbo Community Association (ICA) paid him a courtesy visit in his office in Lafia on Friday.
He said adequate security had been provided to ensure their safety, hence the need for them to remain in the state.
The special adviser also urged them to live peacefully with their host community as well as ensure tolerance and understanding for the development of the state.
He called on them to ensure that they collected their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) to enable them vote for candidates of their choice.
Mr Uche Nwosu, a member of the group, said they were in the special adviser’s office to rejoice with him over his leadership style and cooperation.
Nwosu then assured the governor’s aide of the continuous support of Ibo people in the state for the state government policies and programmes. (NAN) Click to signup for FREE news updates, latest information and hottest gists everyday
