I have fulfilled all the promises I made during my inauguration speech in 2011 - Jonathan

The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, President Goodluck Jonathan, has said that he has fulfilled all the promises he made during his inauguration speech in 2011.

He also said the Federal Government would soon come up with an automobile policy that would ensure that vehicles would be assembled in Nigeria.

He added that the Federal Government would mandate vehicle assembly plants in the country to source 65 per cent of their raw materials within the country to boost industrialisation, employment generation and economic development.

Jonathan spoke in Lokoja, the Kogi State capital, during the PDP presidential campaign rally.

The President also said if re-elected, his administration would show greater commitment to sectors that were critical to Nigeria’s economy.

He reiterated his commitment to addressing insurgency, corruption and other developmental challenges of the country.

He said the Federal Government was committed to reactivating the Ajaokuta Steel Company in Kogi State to full production capacity so that more jobs would be available to the jobless people and also to boost the economy of Nigeria and that of Kogi State.

According to him, all the legal tussles surrounding the ailing Ajaokuta Steel Company had been resolved.

He appealed to the electorate in the state to vote him for another term. He claimed that he had fulfilled all the promises he made during his inauguration speech in 2011.

Jonathan said, “The legal process of Ajaokuta Steel Company has been completed. Investors can now come in and harness the opportunities that abound in the iron ore company.

“We are coming up with automobile policy where vehicles will be assembled in the country. With that, Ajaokuta Steel Company will be empowered to produce iron sheets.”

The Vice-President, Namadi Sambo said the Federal Government under Jonathan had transformed Nigeria.

Why not enumerate them n show us how you fulfilled them one by each. Don't worry since to you, inauguration is not a product of election, and election has nothing to do with campaign promises, go n prepare a longer inaugural address with plenty promises, come may 29, we shall see where you will deliver it. 9. Yes indeed, u've fulfilled ur promises of mediocrity, bad govenance, slow/stagnant economy, unprecedented systemic corruption and bureaucracy etc. Now that you have achieved all that u can, step aside for someone else as there's nothing left 4 u to do. Your DNA and ur predecessor(OBJ) doesnt possess truth, willingness to serve the people but to excessively enrich yourself and ur allies. U even have the guts to rub blatant lies in the face of Nigerians that u've done well when it is clear for all to see u are a failure. U should be jailed for even laying claims to success as that is tantamount to calling Nigerians a bunch of stupid unintelligent people. That to me is felony and shouldnt go unpunished. If u are desperate to win at all cost all u could do is to simply beg for forgiveness even tho, we ain't buying it. In other words, Jonathan you have lost even before the election day. We are only waiting for it to be made official.

  22. Many of the APC leaders were just recently PDP members who were asked by the PDP leadership to give younger leaders a chance but they refused and fled to APC.

Many of them have been two-term governors and multiple-tenure senators yet they want to be in office for life.

Now tell me, who believes in change. APC or PDP?
