Fayose condemns soldiers’ attack on journalist

Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State has condemned the recent beating of the correspondent of the Sun newspaper in the state, Mr. Wole Balogun, by soldiers while on his way to work.

In a statement, yesterday, by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Idowu Adelusi, in Ado Ekiti, Fayose described the attack as unwarranted, barbaric and an action not welcomed in a democratic setting and the peaceful situation that currently exists in Ekiti State.

The governor warned all the security agents operating in the state to be wary of actions that could paint the state in bad light in the eyes of the world, noting that whatever happened in the state always attracted public analysis.

  5. Ole Olosi. I could not comprehend how he won the elections. I have always been in doubt of the election results because I have people in Ekiti who informed me that Gov, Fayemi was really doing good. All of a sudden, they had elections and they said, Fayose defeated Fayemi in all the 16 local governments. Haba, Nigerians, I am not a dummie. I know it is possible but it would be very glaring far before the elections that there are problems of non performance. Even if Fayemi would have lost, at least he might have won 1 or 2 local governments at least. That total loss made it become suspicious tome . And I am grateful to God and the Captain who leaked their secrets. Fayose, your time is up and never comment as governor again. Your days are limited, Ole Olosa.
