The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Campaign Organisation, has said President Goodluck Jonathan will participate in any debate, “organised by anyone, anywhere in the country”.
Speaking to journalists in Abuja at the weekend, its media director, Fani-Kayode denied allegations that the PDP was behind the debate by organized by the Broadcasting
Organisation of Nigeria.
He advised the All Progressives Congress (APC) to come up with a presidential debate to their satisfaction.
According to him, the only condition is that such debate would be transmitted live.
The BON presidential debate has been scheduled for Tuesday, February 3 ahead of the February 14 elections.
The debate, initiated by Channels Television, ARISE Television and the Newspapers Proprietors’ Association of Nigeria (NPAN), is scheduled to hold at the Congress Hall of the Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja.
The APC, however, insisted that its presidential flag-bearer General Muhammadu Buhari, would not participate. Click to signup for FREE news updates, latest information and hottest gists everyday
