‘Earthquake’ to hit PDP as five governors set to join APC', says Oyegun

All Progressives Congress (APC) National Chairman Chief John Odigie-Oyegun has predicted “earthquake” in the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) 72 hours to next week’s general elections with the defection of five of its governors.
Odigie-Oyegun said the governors will join the APC, saying he had finalised plans to receive them into the opposition’s fold.

The APC chairman told supporters in Benin yesterday that his party was poised to win the general elections.
“Let me reveal to you today that very soon, you will hear of an earthquake that will consume the PDP in this country. As I’m talking to you, I have held meetings with the governors. Let me not release the cat out of the bag. But let me assure you that a few hours to the presidential and national assembly elections, the PDP’s canoe will sink.
“You can see that our President and his party have engaged in one character assassination and the other; yet we are looking at them, focusing on our campaign of issues and not name-calling.
“The hand writing is so clear, February 14 is Lovers’ Day , that is a special day for our party. As from that day, Jonathan will start to pack his belongings out of Aso Rock .
“The elections cannot be postponed at this hour and they cannot rig it either. Just go there that day and vote, protect it, it is evidently clear that the PDP and Jonathan are running scared.
“Can you imagine a Col. Sambo Dasuki (the National Security Adviser) who cannot advise the President on how to tackle insurgency, calling for elections postponement? ” Oyegun wondered.

  2. We know GMB is winning this election but our muslim brothers and sister should see that it is the christian politicians that are helping GMB for sake of this country. If you believe that let us unite for good when their time come we should also support them fully. Don't use religion to decieve any body.

Nobody can islamise Nigeria because he is president. PDP has been using this language to get ppl mercy since they know they cannot perform. When GMB was the head of state, his Vice was also a muslim, there was no single religious crises not talk of islamising Nigeria

    1. Your comment might have a soft tone but it's still faulty! Stop bringing religion into politics for God sake! It is neither Christians nor Muslims that are bringing any president to power, it is God first and then Nigerians. Your religious inclination brings nothing but segregation and destruction.

  4. Yes, i agree with you.No body can Islamise Nigeria. Imaging the Number 2 citizen (Namadi Sambo) shamelessly playing religious card in Kano and Niger State. He thought we are fools not even the illitrates are fools any more. He cant even recite the first verse of Quaraan, ordinarily such verse must be recited 17x daily by every muslim, yet he want to ride on religious sentiment. Metcheeeeew, what a shame!

  9. my positions still remain the same.APC has called PDP all sort of names and yet they go about woeing their members to joing APC.then I put the question to them, where is the change.from my personal observation is now obvious that some individual jst want the president out for reasons best known to them.APC is jst a frajil and confused party.

  10. Obasanjo, IBB etc are now APC members....lolz. This same people made this country to be in this state and now accuse GEJ. Nigeria @55, claims a six years tenure has crippled her. The truth be told, its either GEJ continues or we break up. Simple! Obasanjo never made me feel like I'm n the US or London, yet he completed his full tenure why this hatred for the SS and the SE? Yet Nigeria doesn't want Biafra to go her way... As long as the blood of the innocent 2 million Biafrans continue to cry for vengeance and our freedom, Nigeria will never know peace.

  11. If all the so called bad people in the PDP move to APC,it simply translates that APC now consists of the same bad people in the PDP. So what CHANGE are you promising us?
Only people whose brains don't work that will take APC seriously. I can't be fooled by all their propaganda multiplied by a hundred.
