Super Eagles striker, Brown Ideye, has declared that his best is yet to come at West Bromwich Albion after he overcame a slump to score two goals in as many matches.
Ideye also revealed he was not interested in a move to Qatar even when a bumper offer was turned in by Al Gharafa, africanFootball.com reports.
“Now I am delighted with how things are turning out and happy about everything on the pitch.
“Two goals in two games is a dream come true for me. Every striker wants to score goals.
“I know that I have not started at this club the way I wanted to, but the best is still to come.
“The West Bromwich Albion fans have been really supportive for me and all season they have been behind the club and behind me. I love them and will keep on doing my best for them.
“Confidence comes with scoring and I’m at that point now that each goal lifts my confidence and scoring goals for me in every game is a good thing as a striker,” he told africanFootball.com.
He continued: “This time is really different because I have more time and more of a role to play.
“The way the manager wants me to play suits my game because holding the ball is what I am good at, and right now I am just in the right place.
“The manager likes his strikers to work hard and I am willing to do that. I believe I can work a good partnership with Saido Berahino and I enjoy playing with him.”
The former Dynamo Kiev striker also said he would not have gone to Qatar even on loan.
“When I heard about the proposed move I was surprised. But I would never have left a club like West Brom to go to a club in Qatar, even for a loan. It is simply not possible,” he maintained.
