Nigerian-born Chioma Ubogagu has joined Arsenal ladies from US team, Stanford University
The 2012 FIFA Women U-20 World Cup winner for the USA played 89 times for the US team, scored 27 goals with 37 assists which places her fourth on Stanford’s list of all time assists.
Chioma, granddaughter to an ex-international for the Nigerian national team, was born in London but grew up in Texas.
Arsenal ladies team manager, Pedro Martinez Losa expresses delight in the new signing.
‘Chioma is a player I have known about from my time coaching in the United States and she is a fantastic talent. She is very creative, and is able to make goals as well as score them.
