PDP to APC - 'Focus on real campaign'

The Peoples Democratic Party has told the All Progressives Congress and its Presidential candidate, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), to focus on real campaign and try to win followers genuinely.

PDP National Publicity Secretary, Mr Olisa Metuh, in a statement in Abuja on Monday said “the APC ‘change agenda’ should be based on issues and not on change of dressing and religious gathering.

“This election is not about political window-dressing and dramatizing. What will count is record of performance and antecedents, in which President Jonathan stands taller than Buhari.

“It is therefore not surprising that the APC and its Presidential candidate will resort to organizing a kangaroo opinion rating in a failed attempt to cover up their inadequacies and manipulate public perception in their favour.

He said the APC poll had been designed in such a way to make the Nigerian public believe that 75 percent of the voting population is in support of Buhari ahead of the February 14 Presidential election.

Metuh alleged that part of the strategy was a disguised mobile phone balloting application being circulated by the APC, whereby a curious click elicits a thank-you message from them and automatically register the unsuspecting phone user as having voted in support of Buhari.

He urged Nigerians to be wary of this plot to deceive the public and truncate our democratic process.

Did Metuh even watch Oshinbajo on channels tv on sunday night? Lets put Namadi Sambo on the same seat and hear him out.
Did Metuh watch when Buhari was interviewed on Channels? As bad as he was, having seen Jonathan on his arrangee NTA interviews, he is a LOT better than GEJ. Is GEJ talking about any Issue? if so pls give examples o.
GEJ should solve the assignment he gave himself in 2011 first jarey, he should solve the power and security problem in the country; even if APC is preventing him from solving it, THEN we will know he is a true C-in-C. As of now he is just a stooge, infact Shonekan better pass am by far.

  4. Let's stop selling Yemi Osibanjo as if he is the person who will be running the government. He would be just a spare tyre. Was Alex Ekweme not a doctorate degree holder in architecture and self - made man when he was Vice President? How did that profit Nigeria b/w 1979 and 1983?

  5. – The leadership of the App Progressive Congress (APC) has reacted officially to the “Buhari Certificate Scandal” for the first time after nearly a week the issues was reported.

The spokesman for the party, Alhaji Lai Mohammed (retd) has expressed regret in informing Nigerians that Maj General Muhammadu Buhari has no Secondary school certificate to show anyone as required by the Nigerian law.

Alhaji Mohammed said that “Maj General Muhammadu Buhari (retired) lost it while he was in detention for over three years after the Gen Ibrahim Babangid’s coup. The APC National publicity Secretary went to say that while Buhari was in detention, his captors raided his residence and vandalised his property including certificates and diplomas.

“Consequently, after his release, whenever the General is asked about his academic qualifications, he would refer such bodies to the Military Command (Military Board), who has his service records including his academic certificates” – said Lai Mohammed.

The Nigerian Army however clarified over the weekend that they do not keep the original copies of anyone’s certificate, but they are in possession of Buhari’s Military records.
