Open Letter To Bishop David Oyedepo, The Gatekeeper Of Hell By Bunmi Awoyemi

By Bunmi Awoyemi, Ph.D

Dissecting Bishop Oyedepo's support for GEJ and Sambo's anti-christ outburst against churches and Pastor(Prof.) Osinbajo at the Jigawa State PDP Presidential rally.

I was shocked when a man of God, Bishop David Oyedepo who I respect so much said in his church some days ago that his members should slaughter any one that looks like a terrorist. The key word there is "anyone that looks like." While I am 100% in support of self defense, I abhor tribal profiling and targeting. When this happens, innocent lives are bound to be lost. Then in the 3rd service of his Church on Sunday, January 25, 2015, attended by President Jonathan, my dear Bishop Oyedepo said in a comment directed at President Jonathan “We will open the gates of hell on those who oppose you. When God enthrones you no one can dethrone you”

My Bishop's support of Jonathan is anchored on the false premise that Buhari is planning to Islamize Nigeria. Nothing could be further from the truth. IBB not Buhari registered Nigeria as a member of the Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC). IBB, Abacha and Abdusalami Abubakar attended OIC meetings. No President of Nigeria has attended OIC meetings in the last 15 years until President Jonathan attended an OIC meeting in late 2014. Buhari never attended any OIC meeting and refused to join the OIC even though he was a military Head of State possessing immense powers. How can the same Buhari now Islamize Nigeria in a democratic setting which has the checks and balances of the National Assembly and the Judiciary?

Is my Bishop aware of what happened a few days ago? At the Presidential campaign rally of GEJ/Sambo in Jigawa state on January 21st, 2015, in the presence of President Jonathan, Vice President Namadi Sambo stated in Hausa :

"Buhari ya dauko pastor a matsayin mataimakinsa kunsan coci nawa yake dashi? Yanada coci 5000, don haka karku zabesu. The translation is - "Buhari has selected a pastor as his running mate, do you know how many churches he has? He has 5000 churches, so based on that, don't vote for them".

My Bishop, Sambo used religious sentiments in his attempt to divide the country and incite Muslims against Christians. Sambo also said at the rally that the PDP is the most Islamic Party in Nigeria because nobody can be more Muslim than him. He said that his name is Namadi which is a derivative of Namadina, meaning someone from the Medina in Saudi Arabia. At the Rally in Jigawa State Sambo also stated that he goes for the Hajj every year.

My dear Bishop, in Sambo's determination to whip up religious sentiments and divisions, he stated at the Jigawa state rally that all the security chiefs in the Jonathan administration are Muslims and based on that, those alleging that Jonathan is supportive of Boko Haram are not being fair. He mentioned the names of some key ministers in the Jonathan administration including Defence Minister, Aliyu Gusau, NSA, Sambo Dasuki, Inspector General of Police, Abba whom he emphasized are all Muslims. He also mentioned all the Muslim ministers from Kano, including Aminu Wali, Foreign Affairs Minister and Shekarau, Minister of Education.

Bishop, Sambo then asked if anyone could claim to be more Muslim than him Namadi Sambo. Then he shouted Allahu Akbar (Allah is great several times). To close his speech he recited the AlFatiha, (The Opening, the first seven verses of the Holy Quran, which for Muslims is the Mother of the Book, highly revered by all).

My dear Bishop, Sambo's outburst against Christians and Pastor Osinbajo would not surprise close watchers of political events in Nigeria but it does reconfirm the outcome of late General Azazi thorough and extensive investigation of Boko Haram and in which he concluded that the PDP founded Boko Haram and finances its terrorist activities.

MY ADVISE TO CHRISTIANS WHO RESPECT BISHOP OYEDEPO
To Christians like me who hold Bishop Oyedepo in great esteem this is my advise to you;

Don't let any pastor tell you who to vote for. Does Bishop Oyedepo experience the effects of misgovernance? Bishop is on 24-hr power generators and he does not even know when there is power outage. You bear the brunt of misgovernance daily and you should know that voting GEJ is a guarantee of another 4 years of no electricity, corruption galore and insurgency that will claim more lives and disintegrate Nigeria. Vote based on what you know not on religious or tribal sentiments!

Currently, 70% of the territory of states like Borno, Yobe and Adamawa are under the firm control of Boko Haram. This is the first time this is happening in Nigeria. Boko Haram bombing and genocide has targeted both Christians and Muslims, churches, mosques and schools attended by both Christians and Muslims. Because of Boko Haram's control of about 5% of Nigeria's territory, Nigeria's map has been redrawn.

When a bomb goes off in a market place it does not discriminate between Muslims and Christians. When the village of the Chief of Defense staff close to Mubi was attacked he did not rescue his fellow christian villagers but he airlifted his relatives out of danger and leaving his fellow Christians to be slaughtered by Boko Haram. The "polithievians," "executhieves," "legislooters" and "judishare" officers of Nigeria have only one religion that unites them and that religion is stealing and looting with impunity.

How many of the Pastors that are telling you to vote for Jonathan have children who are unemployed graduates sitting at home; bear the brunt of insecurity; send their children to public school; patronize government hospitals like you do or understand what the members of their religious organizations go through on a daily basis?

Did Bishop Oyedepo speak out when ASUU and ASUP were on strike twice in 4 years thereby leading to the loss of almost 2 years in the academic calender of Universities and Polytechnics?

Did Bishop Oyedepo speak out to condemn the manner in which the almost 300 Chibok girls were kidnapped? Did he condemn the manner in which the President refused to acknowledge that they were kidnapped? Did Bishop Oyedepo condemn the failure of the President to rescue the Chibok girls 9 months after they were kidnapped by the insurgents?

Did Bishop Oyedepo speak out when medical doctors went on strike twice in 4 years leading to the death of millions of Nigerians.

Has Bishop Oyedepo spoken out against the ongoing strike by health workers and judicial workers in Nigeria?

All these strikes have to do with the inability of President Jonathan and the PDP government to abide by industrial agreements signed after extensive bargaining among stake holders and their insensitivity to the plight of Nigerians.

Did Bishop Oyedepo speak out when 16>19, 5>26 and 7>19 in the Governors Forum election, Rivers state house of Assembly and Ekiti State House of Assembly in clear and reckless violation of the 1999 Constitution of Nigeria?

Has Bishop Oyedepo spoken out to condemn the legalized looting of billions of dollars of Nigeria's money taking place under the watch of President Jonathan? Did Bishop Oyedepo speak out to condemn the beating up of a state High Court judge in Ekiti state by the Chief Thug of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose and his gang of thugs?

Did Bishop Oyedepo speak out to condemn the deliberate flouting of court orders by President Jonathan which has become like a recurring decimal in his administration?

Let Pastors like Bishop Oyedepo who don't know what their members are going through or who are unable to feel the pulse of the masses, stick to what they know how to do best which is feeding Chist's sheep as Christ commanded them, but let them stay out of politics. Bishop Oyedepo should not try to influence Christians to vote for a failed President like Jonathan. I urge all Christians to vote their conscience to free themselves from the 16 year bondage of the PDP led administration.

Section 95 (3) of the Electoral Act, states that “places designated for religious worship, police station and public offices shall not be used for political campaigns, rallies and processions or to promote, propagate or attack political parties, candidates, their political ideologies or programmes.”

Let my darling Bishop note that his actions on the pulpit violates this law and as a man of God the scripture expects him to obey the laws of the land. We are to give to Caesar what is Caesar's and to God what is God's. By Bunmi Awoyemi

  1. This Bishop is a disgrace to his Church!. And I hope and pray that he stops meddling into politics.

A man of God shouldn't be seeing supporting someone that does not care for human life. Instead, someone in his position supposed to be praying for the release of innocent girls that this administration fails to rescue.

    5. It is clear the origin of the Community where the Oyedebo adherents come from. See how they are quick to say "you fool". it is becoming clearer the version of Bible some are reading that they make the Church another Babylon or Corinth. Let all be 'fools' but GOD is not the author of such arrant braggadocio of "squeeze..rip off his neck...spill his blood" . i was once reliably told by a friend, a fervent and dedicated member of the Bishop's church in Kaduna that Baba liked MONEY too much! I recounted that he also said that the degree or intensity of BABA's prayer for a donor depends on how fat and unbendable his donations or gifts is in the eye of BABA., who knows? This may have confirmed BABA's disposition in this case and therefore tells on his person. Revelation 22 v 10 -12.

He is definitely the gate keeper of HELL.This makes it the second time that he confirming this. The first was when he wickedly slapped ten thousand thundering thyphoons out of a young girls brain after the girl uttered that she was a witch for christ. He dazed her and proclaimed he cursed her to hell...hahaha this man and HELL sef.

I mean it was just a simple issue that had it been TB joshua,he would have just castred out the demon from the poor girl that apparently needed help.

  6. Dear Bunmi Awoyemi,Mr Ph.D, Please research well before you write for the public. So endeavor to answer this question with all sincerity. Question 1. Did Bishop Oyededo say "We will open the gates of hell on those who oppose you" OR WE WILL OPEN GATES OF HELL ON THOSE WHO OPPOSE PEACE ?
I am a Christian.from Kogi state but based in Lagos. I have been watching GEJ's campaign, and more so in the northern states in order to see how people will receive him and listen to the speaches. What Sambo has been saying in the Campaign in the north starting from Sokoto to other states in Hausa language is to enlighten the poor Hausa/Fulani people who do not understand English, whose mind have been polluted against Jonathan using religion by the opposition referring to GEJ as an infidel bcos he is Christian is that he Sambo enlightened them to recognise the diversity of Nigeria. In summary he told them that it was Allah that made Nigeria to be diverse by nature unlike Saudi Arabia, Iran or Pakistan where they are all Muslims. He sited examples of how in people of the two religions in Nigeria have reflected this in the past till date starting from Azikiwe a Christian, the President and Tafawa Balewa, muslim, prime minister. Shagari, muslim/ Ekueme Christian. Obasanjo christian/ Atiku muslim. Yaradua Muslim/GEJ Christian and now GEJ Christian/ Sambo Muslim. He stressed it to them the meaning of his name and said that he is very devoted in his religion as a muslim. He mentioned to these un-informed Hausa/fulani people that Jonathan has given recognition to some of the prominent muslims by appointing them in the cabinet. He said that religion should not be used as a basis for them not to support GEJ/Sambo ticket. He went further to also remind them that Buhari understand and recognized this diversity of religion in Nigeria and so he has a Christian, not just an ordinary Christian but a Pastor from a big church as his running mate. He then asked them to vote GEJ/Sambo. He did not tell them not to vote Buhari BECAUSE A PASTOR IS HIS RUNNING MATE. HE MADE REFERENCE TO IT IN ORDER TO SHOW THEM THAT EVEN BUHARI RECOGNISED THE DIVERSITY OF FAITHS IN NIGERIA.
So Oga Ph.D holder, let us be fare to history by trying to say the truth.

  9. Hmmmm...

It's quite unfortunate that the great Pentecostal Church in Nigeria has completely lost focus on it's primary divine mandate which is to evangelize and also live as Christ by demonstrating the mind of Jesus Christ.

This is really unprecedented in the history of Nigeria that the Pentecostal Church rather than being an avenue for winning lost souls to the kingdom of God, it has completely turned itself into an object of politics where someone who is a pathological liar will be bold enough to approach and canvass for votes.

It's really a pity that the Pentecostal have never even sincerely asked themselves whether GEJ is a Pentecostal i.e. whether he is indeed a Born Again Christian or not.

If indeed these are the statements from Bishop Oyedepo, then I am afraid God will have to also judge The Bishop, his household and every other person that joins hand with the Bishop.

Let us be frank here, GEJ is never a man of his word, either in secret or in the open, how can you as a Pentecostal Minister overlook that salient quality in a man who is suppose to be the leader of a Nation. If God has same traits as GEJ, then one might as well forget the Mansions promised by Jesus Christ over there in Heaven.

I pray that God will indeed intervene on behalf of Nigeria and indeed deliver Nigerians from every shackle of ignorance and abject lack of knowledge.

May God bless and deliver Nigeria from all it's enemies both known and unknown IJN, Amen and Amen.

  20. It will be unwise to throw away your cooking pot with a soured soup, it will be unwise to set your kitchen ablaze because you saw a rat in it. Goodluck may not have been our best president, or your dream president, but he may be our only available source to frustrate the islamized APC's agenda against Nigeria. Note that Vice President has little or no influence on the decision of a President; in that case Osibanjo may not have much to influence if these Islamists, peradventure hijack the highest position in our Nation, and thereafter roll out anyagenda that undermines Christianity. This might serve as a pointer to what I am saying; please read on: 1. Party Leader – North: Gen Muhammadu Buhari (Muslim). 2. Party Leader – South: Bola Ahmed Tinubu (Muslim). 3. 22. For the records, Bishop David Oyedepo never said anything like that!
First off, I like your write-up, at least it didn't sound so derogatory to bro David Oyedepo whom you haven't really heard. This epistle is simply based on what YOU HEARD THAT THEY SAID THAT HE SAID. I wonder how lies can go this viral!
Winners Chapel is my church since about 7years, no 8years. And as much as I love the Bishop, except God himself ministers to my spirit directly, I am voting GMB. I have my mind, and it's an objective and very sound mind by the grace of God.
For the records, Bishop David Oyedepo never said anything like that. Except he said that in an hotel room with GEJ and the perpetrator of the lie... not in the same service that we attended. He only asked that we pray for the grace of God upon him so as to enable him discharge his duties... how that interprets to gates of hell, I don't know.

Another time I remember him saying anything having to do with gates of hell was as said by 'parentingstyles' above; "we will open the gates of hell to anyone who oppose peace in this country".
    Thanks.

  23. B.A.- Indeed you are more a politician than a realist. I look at the APC and PDP and weep for Nigeria. What makes APC the party to vote when we have the 'pollutants' from PDP in your midst. You see IBB as the one who had registered Nigeria in Islamic Council but saw nothing wrong when he openly declared support for GMB. If Bishop Oyedepo said anything, I am very sure he meant that NONE SHOULD LAY HANDS ON ONE WHO HAS BEEN APPOINTED BY GOD. If you are a Xtian, you should know that is simply the truth....and Iyou know the destination of those who lie. This is not to say that politics should be brought to the churches. The church is meant to bring sanity to all irrespective of cultural or social background. Nigerians should vote for who he or she feels comfortable with and not minding what whosoever says. Bishop is a Nigerian and has a single vote just like any other Imam etc. Politicians like BA SHOULD PLEASE STOP LOOKING FOR LOOPHOLES IN EACH OTHER'S CAMP AND TELL CONSTRUCTIVELY WHAT YOUR PLANS ARE FOR NIGERIA. I am tired of all these blah blah blah for APC and PDP. Can all these be documented for posterity to smile at us? Please, lets have for sanity. Leave sentiments and slfish motives when going public

  29. Bunmi, by their write-ups, you know the 'double-identity' Nigerians, Muslim husbands and christian wives, muslim-christian politicians at the same time. Read Bishop Kukah - politicians are liars - the most hypocritic Nigerian politicians are found among the 'fake progressives' - billionaires in the banks and 'NADECO' in the pursuit of power. It takes a dullard, probably with F-9 in maths and sciences and PhD in Arabic studies to ignore the global apprehension regarding islamists in power and threats to global peace. OIC or no OIC, Ibrahim Babangida was never an overt or covert islamist - but Buhari is one, and a partisan islamist in words and deed. Buhari ransacked Awolowo's house and confiscated his private memos, jailed Tai Solarin and Gani Fanhwenmi, supported Abiola's incarceration and martyrdom through silence, jailed Fela Anikulapo Kuti for possessing foreign exchange - the entire Yoruba press would have risen to oppose his current candidature if he were Ibo or Ijaw. Bunmi wants to educate Bishop Kukah, Cardinal Okogie, Cardinal Onaikaing, or Oritsejafor about 'the Presidential candidate' who advised muslims never to vote for christians, and who swore to dip the koran into the atlantic oceon, and who opposes '100%' secular government across the 36 states of Nigeria? These christian leaders and Nigerian christians alike 'know' the candidate is. Christians know that if this Bunmi PhD writer opens a church in Daura - Buhari's hometown - it will certainly be burnt down; and his head will be cut off if he tried to preach there. No Bishop is against Buhari becoming President - but he must not be allowed to rule christians since he never ever want a christian to rule him by his past utterances and biased rule as Head of State - when christian VP (Alex Ekwueme) and Governors (Sam Mbakwe, Jim Nwobodo, Ambrose Alli) are locked in Kirikiri while muslim President (Shagari) and Governors (Barkin Zuwo, et) are held in luxury house arrest. Bishop Oyedepo's message is shared by all true christians- that is -'the gates of hell will be opened to every 'anti-Christ' from all four corners of the earth who try to come to power' - this is the only way to prevent 'armageddon' - the beginning of the end of countries or nations. You won't understand this proverb until the guns of the Niger Delta opens up with a Jonathan loss (God forbid).

Go to france or even the US i know they are more advanced than us but the way they embrace their nationality and proudly identify themselves make me think and wonder if Nigeria as a nation will ever come out of this episode of greed and coruption in one peice...If a man comes for a hole in Zamfara or cross river i see him as a Nigerian regardless of his religion, tribe or ideology....What qualifies anyone for my vote is their determination to move this nation forward and not playing dirty politics with the lives of millions of Nigerians....Afterall "if" war breaks out as a result of their greed it is still the hungry man on the streets who is homeless that will be the first target. I wonder if BH no sabi road to government house!

  41. IBB in his coup speech said he chased Buhari away because he promised change and everything remained the same and he could not sit and watch the country destroyed by buhari, that same man has come to deceive us that he will bring change, u can't fool us twice, more than half of APC members where happy PDP members until their interest where short changed so we understand their grievance nothing to do with love for the country, we would not leave our country in the hands of few that have rotated presidency and still want it back because it's not one of them, this is the change we want not rotation and deceit by same set of men who have ruled us for over 40 yrs that was enough time for change, their generation have failed nigerians not jona, Nigeria is not theirs, they killed saro wiwa jailed awolowo and others to numerous to mention, imagine IBB supporting Buhari he claimed he chased away for corruption how can he defend that one? It's about their union and pocket and collective ego as "ex generals no one is better", so PHD man do your research and stop trying to look for your chopping by deceiving people we know the game and people are more aware now, Buhari will first of all have to repay his loan with interest so we already know the priority of his government, with tinubu and Ameachi by his side 2 of the most corrupt men in modern Nigerian politics there cannot be change, do your research on what tinubu owns in lagos, very corrupt and rotten, if your Mr integrity is going to tackle corruption it has to start from those two condemned criminals if not it's selective justice...and oh his certificate is also not settled he needs to face charges for making a fake, no single fear in those old bones, Cambridge certification never offered hausa back then it has been confirmed. you put PHD to sell your market so they can recognise you and find you one appointment we know the game, I have one but don't need to put it up for political benefits, we are wiser now we know your tricks. Nice try anyway...man must wack.

  44. I think we all have forgotten something here. It is God that sets Kings. In the Bible, was it not a heathen king that supported Nehemiah in building the walls of Jerusalem. Truth is whether Muslim or Christian, We all need to pray for our nation and pray for whoever wins the election. All this religious talk will do us no good. With Jonathan as president, we have seen corruption at its highest and insecurity at its worst. This doesn't mean that with GMB things will change and i am not canvassing for him but more than ever I think we all need to ask GEJ and GMB the right questions.

How are they going to turn Nigeria around for the better? What plans do they have to ensure we have electricity which will improve industrialisation? I'm not talking about empty promises but steps that show facts and figures. Oil price has dropped should we be shaking and quaking considering that we are just out of a period of the oil boom?
How do we get the girls and boys that have been kidnapped by Boko haram and how do we ensure security for the people. Again, they can make promises but we want action.

I'm a bit sick of all these religious politricks. Lets ask the real questions? How are the lives and property of the average Nigerian citizens protected. How do we create healthcare for all, how do we feed our nation, how do we grow as a people??? There are other things to focus on other that religion.

    God help us all

  45. You can't mock the Prophet of God and not be a mockery, be careful with what you say about Bishop Oyedepo. He has always prayed for this nation, chibok girls and our leaders. Bishop Oyedepo was separated to be a Prophet in Nigeria Jeremaih 1:5. Bishop Oyedepo has never campaigned for anyone by omission or commission rather He has prayed for success of 2015 elections. Be wise as this is your last reprimand.

IS OUR BISHOP READ IN THE SCRIPTURE HOW GOD USED A PAGAN KING , KING CYRUS OF PERSIA TO BUILD THE TEMPLE AND WALL OF JERUSALEM IN 2CHRONICLES 36 VERSES 23 -END OF THAT CHAPTER. I AM REALLY DISAPPOINTED ON HIS COMMENTS AS JONATHAN WILL LOSE THE ELECTION AND HE WILL BE WELCOMED AT THE GATE OF HELL WITH NIGERIA LOOTERS OF THE RESOURCES MEANT FOR THE COMMON PEOPLE. SO SHALL IT BE EXCEPT THEY REPENT. FEMI

  48. i was once reliably told by a friend, a fervent and dedicated member of the Bishop's church in Kaduna that Baba liked MONEY too much!

  49. 1. lets give thanks to internet.....whenever a man want to go popular he paste anything he likes on the web knowing that it will go viral easily without paying kobo........lemme start with the phd holder bunmi awoyemi.......he said vote without sentiment and he wrote: "You bear the brunt of misgovernance daily and you should know that voting GEJ is a guarantee of another 4 years of no electricity, corruption galore and insurgency that will claim more lives and disintegrate Nigeria. Vote based on what you know not on religious or tribal sentiments"....so who is displaying sentiment in his statement......the bible says by your words you will be either be justify or condemn.....phd bunmi awoyemi you are a sentiment talker.......and a liar like your father 'devil".......

    2. i wont blame most of the xtain commenting here......bcos it is written that the gods of the earth has blindfolded their eye, though they go to church but hearing they will not hearing, they only look but not seeing, no understanding of hrt.....oh generation of vipers..........go to turkey and see the work of the greatest apostle Paul being destroy and u r waiting for the same in nigeria.........beware of those who come as a wolf in sheep cloth.>>>>>>JESUS SAYS........am very sorry for ur yet to make mistake.....just like Esau in d bible who also need urgent "change" for his stomach status bcos he couldnt sacrifice hunger for his destiny.....dont forget he sort it with tears and weeping....but he couldnt get it back.....jux lose out to the devil and see maybe he will allow u to go back to enjoy heaven.

    3. it is in the south that we dont kn trend and change pattern.....the Northerners know what power means than any other tribe in the country........lemme open ur closed eyes:::::::: since crazy demonstration started 1999>>>>>>obasanjo ruleth 8 years..........yardua ruleth let say 2-yrs bcos his wife ruleth your crazy demonstration for period of time......GEJ rules 6 yrs......hmmm and they wont do any thing to bring back the power to north to rule like they do in military regime.......average uneducated fulani knows what we call POWER unlike educated southerners.....are they the only one who know how to enjoy power......what their CHANGE means is TIME TO CHANGE POWER not CHANGE NIGERIA..

    4. no one want to sacrifice for the future>>>>>>>that has been the trend from the beginning of our so called independent.>>>>>>>>youths are known for VISION BEARERS not dreamers but the reverse is the case in our country from independent.......people who got independent for us are youth without sacrificing anything for the coming generation that is affecting us today>>>>>>>>if care are not taking to painstakingly bear the present sacrifice for ur 2maro.........hahhhhhhhh....................hmmmmmmmmmmmm GOD BLESS NIGERIA>>>>>>GOD BLESS CHRISTENDOM

    5. i am open to "blaspheme" shebi Bishop said he will open hell.......me will hand u over to satan so that you learn not to blaspheme as APOSTLE PAUL DID>>>>>>1 timothy 1:20 Of whom is Hymenaeus and Alexander; whom I have delivered unto Satan, that they may learn not to blaspheme

  52. Like my Papa will always say, a big head with an empty brain is an heavy load to the neck.

The church is a Government. Though not of this world but in this world, Politics is from God, as well as of God, No government can ever exist without God's approval.
So I will advise you to stop using abusive words on God's elect, else the grace that's covering you will withdraw with immediate effect, So that you will know that God has giving to every man that He has called the power to kill and to make alive. And you will become like Ahithophel.
Your good defense has really shown how you are as a liar, trying to deceive and poison God's Children with hatred and bitterness. Where will your lying lips lead you to; a good pen man with a poor penitence. If at this preliminary stage you all have turned a Liar, I wonder what you will become if given the opportunity to rule this great Nation. You people will not only rule as a liar but, as a lion.

  54. A warning goes to those of you who go about causing confusion.

Yes. Goodluck Jonathan visited Winners Chapel Ota on his way from Lagos.
Bishop Oyedepo and the entire Winners family welcomed him and offered prayers for him as the President of Nigeria.

Bishop David Oyedepo in his speech and sermon that day never mentioned anything like "opening the gates of hell to anyone who opposes him (Jonathan)" as being reported by many.
Rather, what he said in another sermon (not on the day of the President's visit) was "the gates of hell will be opened to anyone who opposes the peace of Nigeria" and he was speaking about Boko Haram.

Please, Please and Please be warned!

Don't bring down the wrath of God on yourself and your families because of "little lies" against a Prophet of God. You may not know what this man carries.
    Please take heed!

    God bless you.

  56. I was very much present in the said 3rdservice,Bishop never said anything about the election,we only prayed for peace before ,during and after the election which has been our obiligation as a church. He said a number of times we will open up the gate of hell to those that oppose the peace and unity of this great nation. He never asked us to vote any candidate By the way the said General Buhari also came to see Bishop Oyepedo the same peace peace peace was his advice,so people be mindful of what you say about a prophet of God.#beguided

Anyway, God forgive you. and i withdraw the wrath from your head. be guided and ask for forgiveness. Be Warned.

  58. Most of you quoting bible and quoran like you were part of those that wrote these Holy book are fools. Do you even know God? Your brothers and sisters are dying daily but you come here to say trash and quoting the bible to justify your cluelessness. Whether we like it or not these 2 presidential candidate are not capable of change. Another 4 year to be wasted in the history of this nation.

GEJ is clueless, no sense of direction, no idea on how to run a nation. Insecurity is high, infact very high, unemployment rate is enormous, no shelter, no food, no electricity, failed transport system, rising cost of forex for an import dependent nation.

I also fear Buhari to be an extremist, I don't believe he will do much like his folks are shouting up and down. Big pity.

Yet your Pastors and Imans are busy travelling with Jet and taking money secretly from Politician even after quadering your tithes and offering in respective place of worships. Even, if NASFAT are campaigning for Buhari and Ambo, and Oyedepo for GEJ it doesn't change the fact that they both ain't gonna solve our problem.

Let me end with what I think is best way forward. Let's split this Geographical, political and economic mistake called Nigeria. A country that cannot agree on anything, even is soccer and entertainment.
