The police command in Borno State on Wednesday presented N400, 000 to families of two police who died in active service in the state.
The two police officers are Raymond Ishaku and Bawa Abdullahi.
Mr. Adoda, who represented the Inspector General of Police (I-G) at the event, said that the money was the deceased police officers’ entitlements at the Police Insurance Welfare Scheme (POLIWS).
He also presented N30, 000 cash and a gallon of cooking oil to each of the families as I-G’s Christmas gift.
Responding, the families thanked police authorities for the gesture and pledged to use the money judiciously.

Not enough... Life cannot be replaced with money and even if u must try, try like u want to really try. If politicians can spent N4000000 on frivolities what's 30000 to the family of a man who served and died a hero? Because from what I knw the 400000 is his personal saving with POLIWS.
ReplyDeleteWhat a shame! This is preposterous, in a nation where billions of dollars are stolen with ease you are giving men who died for the sake of maintaining law and order "shishi" as what????
