The All Progressives Congress in Ekiti State has raised the alarm over alleged plans by Governor Ayodele Fayose to ambush the campaign convoys of its presidential candidate, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (Retd.) as he comes to the state on Saturday, on a campaign visit.
The APC State Publicity Secretary, Taiwo Olatubosun, in a statement in Ado-Ekiti on Monday alleged that Fayose had already hired thugs to attack the convoys on their way to the rally as Peoples Democratic Party did in Rivers State.
“They are also to strike at the campaign grounds to cause stampede,” the party said.
The OPC members, the party said, were engaged as task force men to be removing the posters of APC candidates and had removed Buhari’s posters pasted in his campaign office in Ado-Ekiti as well as those pasted in the party’s office in the state capital.
The APC said Fayose’s desperation knew no bounds as he took the front page advertorial of a national daily on Monday depicting that Buhari will die in office like three other Presidents from the North died in office.
“This is dangerous for our national unity and ethnic harmony. Fayose is dangerous to Nigeria’s unity and the earlier the authorities, Nigerians and Ekiti people in particular appreciate this, the better for us as a nation,” Olatubosun said.
According to him, the OPC members were already in town to be deployed to entry points to Ado-Ekiti where they would ambush APC members on their way to the campaign grounds.
“This is a clear case of undermining the peace agreement by eminent international leaders last week among the nation’s political leaders. It is sad that after President Jonathan campaigned in Ekiti State, Fayose sent signage officials and OPC thugs to be removing our candidates’ posters after paying necessary fees to the agency.”
“Fayose’s hatred for Buhari knows no bounds, as his aide was behind a fake medical report on Buhari declaring him as a prostate cancer patient.

I think this Fayose should be careful if he does not was to sleep and not wake up again. God will personnaly deal with him. Those who know him should warn him o. He is biting off more than he can chew.
ReplyDeleteI only want to advice Fayose on his utterances because election will come and go.The bible mandated it that one must respect his elders so that he can live long.Mind the way you are talking to elders like OBJ and MB because things will soon turn back against the PDP then you will eat all you have been vomiting i know for sure.

DeleteIt's clearly obvious that this man Ayo Fayose is not wise at all. In fact he should have worked on his temperament since he was younger. I only pity his wife, family and others who surround him. Mark my word, he's going to regret his utterance including this. The history is there for us to reflect upon. Anybody can die anytime. Death is not always caused as a result of old age. Mr. Fayose is a devil and not fit to hold public offices at all. I now know why OBJ supervised his removal in 2006. Shame on the president for working with people like this. In fact Jonathan must go via February elections. And by the special grace of God, Dr. Jonathan will leave on May 29, 2015 for peace and progress to thrive in our dear country. Now I pray, Oh our Lord, please do not leave Nigeria and Nigerians in this trying period (Amin). Enough is Enough!!! Kilo de le to eleyi? People will rovolt againt Fayose himself. Time will tell. He abuses Obasanjo just anyhow and he's abusing GMB. I am sure he can never any northern state. I am sure that will be suicidal. The northerners don't condole anything like this. But he said, he's now matured and different person. Does that mean, he's worse than this before.
