Buhari Vows To Use Funds Saved From Corrupt Practices Judiciously


APC presidential candidate, Muhammadu Buhari said his party would pour the money saved from corrupt practices on education, health and employment for millions of youths.
Buhari visited Sultan Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar III yesterday to seek the Sultan’s blessings and inform him of his party’s readiness to tackle the fundamental issues of insecurity, economy and corruption retarding the country and the hope of Nigerians.
He said if given the mandate he will strengthen security agencies especially the military institution and make it more efficient as a measure to bid bye to insecurity in the country.
According to the retired General, “all other areas are within these three components which we want Nigerians to be patient, keep faith with God, give us time and chance to address them.
“We want to use the accruals from corruption to provide qualitative education, create more avenues for youth employment and other areas of development that will ensure social justice among others”, he said.
Sultan Abubakar III also cautioned politicians in the country to avoid anything that will breach the peace, unity and stability of Nigeria in the race for elective positions.
“The leadership of the two major political parties should do more to stop violence among and between their supporters.”
He warned that they should stop playing God but fear Him in all they do,” including us.”
Accordingly, the religious leader noted that “some of the issues currently happening were artificially instigated or caused by us.”
He said ” we want a country where the principles of justice, equity, peace and stability will be promoted for the unity of our people”, he added.
Abubakar who spoke in Sokoto when the All Progressive Congress(APC) presidential candidate Muhammadu Buhari paid him courtesy call in his palace said a nation can endure and prosper in belief with justice and not injustice”, he quoted from the principled sayings of Sheikh Uthman Dan Fodio.
He noted that Nigeria has been existing in tune with the principles of respect, understanding and tolerance which should not be betrayed for political ambition, adding that” there must be a country before a leader.”
“Therefore, we must come together to make it a shining spot.”
According to the revered monarch who also pointed out that the country needed a strong, dynamic and purposeful heart that will translate the ideals of honest, transparency and justice in the life of an average Nigerian, stressed that “we want a country whose military institution is also strong and performing.
“A country where every citizen can move and practice his or her religion freely without any form of intimidation.
“The military is an important segment for our collective unity which should not be toyed with,” he stated.
He further said “Nigerians are anxious to know how and what difference you have that can bring the required change to reverse its trends.
“Above all, we need a leader who has the fear of God for justice and fairness to both religions; islam and christianity.
“Do justice to people and don’t disappoint their expectations from you,” he stressed.
He assured the APC presidential candidate that the sultanate was ready to partner with stakeholders for the unity and stability of the country.
According to him “there is no institution that believes in the unity and stability of the country than the traditional institution.
