The All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Muhammadu Buhari, has vowed to jail any public servant who loots government funds after he becomes president.
He spoke yesterday in Gusau, Zamfara State during a campaign rally held at Old Gusau airstrip on Wednesday night.
Addressing the crowd in Hausa, Buhari remarked that the stealing of public funds had become fashionable. He lamented that some people now regard those who do not steal as ‘old school’. All these mess, he promised, would be cleared within two years, if he is elected come February 14.
Buhari also said he was determined to improve the country’s education, saying “when you give education to the youth, they will be able to sustain themselves.”
He charged the youth to join in this crusade of changing the existing status quo if they wanted a secured nation where the rule of law and true federalism would prevail.
