Buhari Not Qualified To Run For President – Fani Kayode

The ruling PDP on Saturday accused the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) of complicity in shielding the presidential candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC) General Muhammadu Buhari over his inability to present his academic qualifications to the electoral body as stipulated by both electoral laws and the 1999 constitution.

Addressing a press conference, the Director of the PDP Presidential Campaigns, Femi Fani Kayode said that the inability of Buhari to submit hia academic qualifications to INEC as stipulated is breach of the laws and a threat to the advancement of democracy in Nigeria.

According to Fani Kayode, "The inability of the All Progressives Congress (APC), General Muhammadu Buhari, to present even the minimum requirement of just a leaving school certificate questions his moral and other credentials for pursuing the position of the president of Nigeria. The current shocking disclosures bring to the fore how and what qualifications were used to recruit him into the military, without a minimum school leaving certificate, where he rose to the rank of a General and even became the Head of state through a military coup that truncated a democratically-elected government in 1983.

"Beyond the moral burden of human rights abuses and other sundry anti-democratic practices in his public records, we find that even in other spheres of democratic practices and, in particular, on the matter of due processes, his disdain for democratic conduct has not changed. Academic qualification is a threshold issue that cannot be waived for any citizen no matter how highly-placed and irrespective of whichever region such individual comes from except as provided by the constitution.

"Thus the question must be asked; is Buhari or any other citizen qualified to contest election into the office of the president without meeting the minimum constitutional requirement?"

  1. I really pity Mr. Femi Fani-Kayode.

    PDP has delivered their part in the deal to set him free from going to prison for corrupt charges. However, on his part he now has an uphill task to be a political attack dog for PDP.

    Herein lies his confusion and lack of intelligence;
    1. Just a few months back when he was still in APC, FFK was a staunch advocate for Gen. Buhari being a Presidential candidate and flag bearer for APC.

    2. Just a few months back when he was still in APC, FFK thought he could use Obanikoro style of shouting and raking regarding the Muslim-Muslim ticket seeing that it was evident that the potential candidates for VP slot are more tested and considered competent by this he has no chance in heaven of being given the ticket. But he never thought the APC fold will be that daring and resilience. The Obanikoro shouting trick the played out on PDP in Lagos did not work.

    3. Now came the joker, APC VP choice took everyone by surprise even my humble self. It's an absolutely stunning maneuver that till kingdom come, PDP will never have an answer for.

    4. Now FFK's shout/tune suddenly changed and it now to attack the person of a candidate. This is not only shameful, though, it is know historically that the FFK linage does not really understand the meaning of integrity nor do they know the value thereof. The only thing the FFK lineage understands is MONEY, OWO, KUDI, EGO.

    May God help Nigeria rid it's society of lineages such as that of FFK in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen and Amen.

    Bros FFK, you can observe I am a Christian and I have made my declaration in line with the Bible as it is written in Ephesians 5:11.

Or that he cannot jail arrest corrupt office holders. Or a man that stood and watch his illiterate wife appointed as a perm sec? Pls Jonathan is even less qualified if you listen to statements that comes out of his mouth and his advisers. Stop playing to the gallery for selfish interest.

  5. Femi, you're nothing but a joke and laughing stock in the eye of the Nigerian polity. You represent the depravity and sore pitifulness of a condemned man. I watched your video while ranting a few months back; compelling Nigerians to follow Tinubu, Buhari and other APC stalwarts. What would have changed in your ideologies? All the allegations of islamization and Haramite propaganda you levelled against the APC holds no water. With what I feel for you right now I can do anything to tell Nigerians how rotten and morally depraived you are.
