#BringBackOurGirs; Chibok faults Jonathan’s Maiduguri visit

The people of Chibok where over 250 schoolgirls were abducted by Boko Haram on April 14, 2014 said on Friday that President Goodluck Jonathan was not sincere with the search for their girls.

Speaking through the spokesperson for Kibaku community, Dr. Allen Mannaseh, the people said it was sad that the Federal Government had failed to bring their daughters home 277 days after they were forcefully whisked away by terrorists.

They said it was sad that the President did not mention the girls’ abduction during his visit to Maiduguri on Thursday.

Mannaseh, who doubted if the Federal Government was still interested in rescuing the schoolgirls, said it was unfortunate that the people of Borno State failed to understand the motive behind the President’s visit.

He said, “As a Director of Information of the Chibok Community nationwide, I am short of words when people call to ask me why the President kept mute about the Chibok girls.

“We are saddened as parents that the President did not say a word over the missing girls on Thursday. The President’s action confirms that the government has forgotten those girls in the enemy’s camp.”
