Ambode is tested and trusted - Fashola

Lagos state governorship candidate of the All Progressives party (APC), Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode campaign train arrived Apapa to a rousing reception from party faithful and admirers on Friday, 16 January, 2015.

The campaign train was led by Mr. Babatunde Raji Fashola, SAN, Governor of Lagos State.
Governor Fashola presented Akinwumi Ambode to the mammoth crowd and the shout of ‘Ambooo’ rent the air.

Fashola described Ambode as a tested and trusted hand who had equally worked with him for six years.

The Lagos Governor urged the mammoth crowd that trooped out to welcome the campaign train to vote massively for Ambode and other APC candidates in the coming election starting from its presidential candidate, General Muhammadu Buhari, to national and state Assembly candidates.

“Ambode will take Lagos to a greater height, he will build and improve on what we have been doing in the past eight years and on the solid foundation laid by Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. I worked with him for six years and I know that he is not only brilliant but has also been tested and he is trusted,” Fashola said.

He stated further that, “experience is better than experiment. He is young but has gathered enough experience to take Lagos to greater height. Don’t sacrifice experience for experiment. With his experience coupled with his youthfulness, it is only Ambode that can do it”.
The Governor urged Lagosians to ensure that they collect their permanent voters’ cards (PVCs) noting that their PVCs are the ‘weapon’ to keep the APC people-oriented administration in power through Ambode.

In his speech Ambode thanked the people for their overwhelming support promising to start from where Governor Fashola might have stopped.

He stated that his experience in government as former Accountant General of the state has prepared him for the Lagos top job assuring that he will not let Lagosians down.

He said, “I will build on existing infrastructure and human development and even do more” .
Chief Henry Ajomale, state Chairman of the APC said that Lagos has always been lucky to have young and brilliant people at the helm of affair praising the intellectual capacity of the National Leader of the party, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu for producing Fashola who did not disappoint and now coming up with Akin Ambode, who he described as educated, experienced young man with a lot of energy and seal to consolidate on the present achievements of Governor Fashola.

  3. Ambode must be tested in the act of concealing corruption for Tinubu. Now he is trusted by the same people. This hypocrisy has got to stop. He was sacked by Fashola for same crime. He remains unfit to govern Lagos. #jimmy4lagos.

  4. @5.31pm You are biased, misguided and trying to misguide christians. First. whats the relevance of your comments to the above news item? Is Ambode a muslim. Second, why this selective list? Why not give a full list of all APC top-guns, including Oyegun, Amaechi etc rather than this religious bigotry and divisive strategies all aimed at an ulterior motive of rescuing PDP's corrupt and sinking ship. Nigeria desires, demands and deserves merit, irrespective of tribe or religion.
