The Peoples Democratic Party has welcomed the emergence of former Military Head of State, Maj. Gen. Muhammadu Buhari(retd.), as the Presidential flag bearer of the All Progressives Congress to the 2015 general elections.
It recalled that this would be the fourth time Buhari will be contesting in the presidential election.
The party, in a statement by its National Publicity Secretary, Chief Olisa Metuh, said that on each of the three previous occasions, Buhari failed to articulate a vision of the future that was acceptable to Nigerians.
He said, “On each occasion, his brand of politics was rejected across Nigeria. Apart from changing to a dinner suit, Buhari, has not changed the tired ideas and provocative utterances that Nigerians rejected in previous elections.
“We hope that this time around, Buhari will conduct a campaign that is issue-based and devoid of ethno-religious sentiments.”
Metuh said he was still convinced that the PDP remained the only truly national political party in Nigeria, a platform on which he said all Nigerians could pursue their legitimate aspirations.
He said President Goodluck Jonathan had a genuine record of accomplishments on which to run, which should earn him a second term in office. Click to signup for FREE news updates, latest information and hottest gists everyday

Metuh, that's where you got it wrong. If for anything Jonathan needs to apologize to Nigerians for wasting four good years of our life not asking for our vote. Secondly, are you saying that PDP should be the only party in Nigeria? Well, am not disappointed not as if you know better.
ReplyDeletePDP is not the only party and I won't waste my vote on Buhari or any other bitter APC member, so no voting for me.
ReplyDeleteWhat a funny statement by metu, is people like you that is creating problem for GEJ. And he failed to know that you are his number one enemy. My advice to GEJ and PDP is that they should start packing their things because change is around the corner and I don't think people like you can with stand the new brand of Nigeria. BUHARI is the man for the CHANGE.
ReplyDeleteAnonymous 2 please vote4, every single vote counts please, put it in for Buhari and for APC, it is time we had a balance of power politically in Nigeria, APC needs to win this time just like the democrats and republicans in the US. Again Buhari i am sure will deliver. PDP has ruined this country, there is no single Godly person or anyone passionate about the good of this country in PDP. they are all rogue, i'm sorry to say. Very selfish rogues
