A former Governor of Ekiti State, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, who is also the national convention committee chairman of the All Progressives Congress has described the special convention of the Peoples Democratic Party as undemocratic.
Fayemi said this at the APC third national convention, which is currently holding at the Teslim Balogun Stadium in Lagos.
The PDP convention, which is holding in Abuja, seeks to affirm President Goodluck Jonathan as it’s presidential candidate.
However, Fayemi described the PDP event as a coronation and not convention as it was just a ruse to endorse Jonathan.
He said among all the political parties in the country, only the APC was holding an open and transparent presidential primary.
He said, “You can see that our primary is very transparent and is offering every aspirant a level playing field unlike the PDP, which is holding a coronation.
