Igbo now force in national politics - Okorocha

Imo State Governor, Owella Rochas Okorocha, has insisted that his participation in the just concluded APC presidential contest was to disabuse the notion that the presidency is only reserved for a particular zone in the country.

With his participation in the race in which he came third, the governor added, the Igbo has become a force to reckon with in national politics.
He argued, “By participating in the contest, I have been able to prove that the president can come from any part of the country. It is the understanding of APC that the president should come from the North ever since. I knew about that, but I don’t like those facts, so I have come to distort those facts which are not the truth.”
Okorocha made this clarification while addressing a mammoth crowd that came to receive him at the Sam Mbakwe Airport on his return from the APC Presidential Convention.
While commending the party for organising a free and fair primary, the governor also congratulated Gen. Muhammadu Buhari for emerging the presidential flag bearer of APC.
Okorocha thanked Imo people for their support and assured that his Rescue Mission programme is still on course, promising that the state will experience accelerated socio-infrastructural development in the next four years.
Commenting on the return of the governor to the Imo State governorship race, The speaker of the Imo State House of Assembly, Hon. Benjamin Uwajimogu, said Okorocha’s acceptance by the people of the state is a clear indication that they want him back as governor in 2015, insisting that there is no vacancy in the Imo government house until 2019.
The Commissioner for Lands, Survey and Urban Planning, Chief Uche Nwosu and the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Sir Jude Ejiogu, also commended their boss for giving the Igbo race a voice in national politics.

  3. Rochas is a con man extraordinary who has not done any legitimate business in his life except 419 via duping unesco, red cross, ford foundation etc under the guise of running rochas foundation schools NGO.having made his initial money from 419 he ventured into political jobbing as IBB and Abacha's military apologist where he collected several abandoned contracts in the south east/south-south of which late Ojukwu use taunt him abouth.he deceived the people of IMO state vide popoganda in 2011 and since ever then it has has been propaganda all the way.the free education is just a hoax.for instance imsu school fees before was N30k for both indigenes and non indigenes.now when he came in he raised it to 150k for non indigenes and allocated 80% of the admission to non indigenes.the he made the school fees 20k for the indigenes and allocated only 20% of the admission to them.through this gimmick he stopped the N250m monthly subventions to the school and charged the school authorities to run the school from the 150k school fees paid by non indigenes . Rochas has also borrow N105bn from diamond bank and a consortium of banks warranting CBN which is the maximum a state govt can borrow thereby warranting CBN to currently Barr imo state govt from futher borrowing from any commercial bank in Nigeria .it will take about five regimes to defray this loan.meaning that Rochas has squandered the future of unborn imolites without putting any legacy project on ground in IMO all his projects are few uncompleted wayo substandard projects like round abouts, one man and his dog contractor uncompleted substandard roads etc.GOD WILL CERTAINLY JUDGE ROCHAS for deceiving unsuspecting Nigerians through propaganda
