The star attraction of the 17th annual Holy Ghost Congress of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, which will be attended by millions of persons from across the globe holds today. It is known as the Holy Ghost Service, where the Great Shepherd, is expected to meet with His sheep and take them to the miraculous in readiness for a positive 2015.
Apart from prayers which have been offered for different segments of the nation’s economy, there will be special intercessions for the nation, apparently to avert the security challenges currently plaguing the country, as well as seek God’s intervention especially in line with predictions of a possible break up of Nigeria by next year.
As at 6.00 p.m. yesterday the sprawling Redemption Camp was already swarming with men, women, boys and girls milling about every available space in the compound.
A source close to the leadership of the church told our reporters last night that the church had made adequate arrangement to host as many persons who are willing to be part of this year’s congress, adding that security personnel are collaborating with the church’s Team Nehemiah to maintain free flow of traffic on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
The church has assured all those travelling on the road to obey the new traffic arrangement put in place by the security operatives who are saddled with the responsibility of maintaining law and order on the road, stressing that the church had created more parking lots within the camp ground to accommodate participants.
For today’s event, the church authorities have, therefore, appealed to all those willing to participate to make it early to avoid the usual rush and the unavoidable congestion and pressure on the busy Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
Pastor Enoch Adeboye appealed to Nigerians to take advantage of the programme, saying that this year’s event promises to be quite remarkable as “ we celebrate the Great Shepherd Himself – His goodness, His love and His faithfulness…Whatever your situation, He is present and already to meet you at the very point of your need.” Click to signup for FREE news updates, latest information and hottest gists everyday

ReplyDeleteAnything that brings unnecessary hard ship to people can it be of God? Why cause thousand of road users avoidable suffering and pain because you are worshiping God . Would Christ have done same when he walked this earth. Christ went about doing good and alleviating people's suffering not aggravating it. Doing the will of God does not necessarily mean making other people suffer cos God is Love himself.By the time we distort things put in place by constituted civil authorities to ensure that all people go about their normal rightful duties and business then we are not giving to Peter what is Peters and to God what is God's.. No matter the crowd, rattmatazz, media hype God remain God and God knows everything.
ReplyDeleteSo, let us worship God in spirit and truth for irrespective of crowd God knows his people.Crowd is not always right.May God open the mind and eyes of the people to know the truth.Amen

ReplyDeleteOjoma, I believe you should come out openly so that intelligent people would know your true identity. You have been making all sort of accusations and unintelligent criticisms to comments without any direct or indirect opposition to your assertions. Now, you have proven yourself to be out of the ordinary by criticizing what is meant to bring about peace and progress to the country. Let me ask Ojoma, what is your concern about the pain and suffering of these innocent worshipers? You are surely a miserable man who needs counseling and delivery from God. My advice to you is to ask for forgiveness and quickly struggle to be part of the ongoing HOLY GHOST CONGRESS.
ReplyDeleteEnglish F9.Ojoma is talking about other road users. You have not even taken him up on his points .This forum should not be for ignoramuses and fanatics.
