A former Speaker of Ondo State House of Assembly, Hon. Ayo Agbonmuserin, has dumped the Peoples Democratic Party for the All Progressive Congress in Ondo State.
Hon. Agbonmuserin was the speaker of the state legislator during the late Adebayo Adefarati’s regime before he decamped to the PDP.
While addressing party leaders and supporters on Tuesday at the APC Secretariat in Akure, Agbonmuserin said his joining the APC was a home coming.
According to him, he left the PDP because of lack of internal democracy and justice, adding that the crisis which followed the arrival of the Labour Party into the PDP had crippled the latter.
In his welcome address, Chairman of the party, Hon. Isaac Kekemeke, congratulated the defectors for being foresighted and courage to leave the PDP.
He said the APC was a moving train everyone wanted to join so as to be part of the imminent change.
Hon. Kekemeke assured the former lawmaker and his supporters of a level playing ground, stating, “there are no new or old members, all members are one with equal rights and opportunities.” Click to signup for FREE news updates, latest information and hottest gists everyday
