A former Head of State and the Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress in the 2015 general elections, Maj.Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), has told the Independent National Electoral Commission that his academic qualifications and credentials are with the military.
A visit by journalists to the headquarters of the commission on Monday in Abuja revealed that Buhari’s academic qualifications were not on display, unlike those of other Presidential candidates, including President Goodluck Jonathan of the Peoples Democratic Party.
But in an affidavit, which he deposed to at a High Court of the Federal Capital Territory, he explained that all his certificates were with the Secretary, Military Board.
The affidavit dated November 24, 2014, was stamped and received by INEC on December 18 2014.
“I am the above-named person and deponent to this affidavit therein. All my academic qualifications documents as filled in my presidential form, President APC/001/2015, are currently with the Secretary, Military Board as of the time of presenting this affidavit. The affidavit is made in good faith and for record purpose,” Buhari stated.
It can also be recalled that Vice President Mohammed Namadi Sambo had also told INEC that his Bachelors and Masters’ degree certificates in Architecture from the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, had been consumed by fire.
Sambo, who is the Vice Presidential candidate of the PDP, had made the declaration in the documents he filed with INEC and displayed on the commission’s office in Abuja, even though the details of the fire that consumed the certificates were not given.

Buhari is a liar he should produce at least his primary and secondary school certs. he does not have any formal education. Is not same as Sambo, ABU where Sambo attended for his bachelors and masters has confirmed his claims and certified him. Let the military do same for buhari, perhaps he did not attend any school as fulani, he said he was rearing cows, from there to army, then a juanta.

ReplyDeleteHmmmm. my Elder statesman. when were you forced out of office (1984/1985) You mean that the Army is still studying your certificates to re absorbed you? Tell us something better. Certificate is not the qualification for presidential election. the highest that is required is WAEC or NECO.

ReplyDeleteThose who lived under Buhari's rule as Military Head of State knew what they enjoyed. All patriotic Nigerians yearning for better and orderly life appreciated his leadership. Though no human being is 100% perfect, only the people of dubious character hated him.
Not only that, read histories of human development, Henry Ford was not holding PhD before he excelled in his life. So, we need who will fix the damages of this administration.

Either sambo or buhari, or who ever most of these politicians are not worthy at all to be a political leader in that country. What kind of example are they setting for Nigerians, they can not provide copies of their certificates, even if they truely attend the schools, it shows that they all have an indifferent attitude to even lead as a political figure.

DeleteObviously Buhari was recruit into the army with possibly a forged primary sch cert. This a true test of his much talked about not being currupt. More should be expected in the coming days as digging into his claim has started.
