    9. Small time una go say Yorubas are weaklings...what about you Igbo guys always playing the marginalization card like a weak child crying for extra sweet. Any small thing "we have been marginalized" Learn from the Yorubas, we go into wars or battle with a mind to win, most of the time no by physical battle but through word of mouth and negotiation we win battles. Look back every time in this country the Yorubas have had to fight, they win, even when it is not immediate, we are patient enough to wait and win. we dont go into mindless battles we know we can win immediately. Off course we do have some rugrats like Doyin Okupe but in the end, we always know what to do

  5. wow. this is one of the best news I have heard since this electioneering madness began. once again, APC have given me another pleasant surprise. congrats my beloved man of God. this has put to rest the allegation of trying to Islamize Nigeria. As a military head of state GMB picked Idiagbon ( a Xtian), He also picked Okadigbo and pastor Tunde Bakare in subsequent ventures. I am sure he is not a fundermentalist. these guys are serious about this CHANGE they are talking about. Buhari/Osibanjo ticket is a mouthwatering gift to Nigeria from APC.

    3. Buhari/Osibajo - what an excellent combination. Congratulations APC, you are almost there. For those people who do not know Prof Yemi Osibajo, all you need to do is to take a peek at his impressive CV and marvel. He is brains personified. Aside from being the former commissioner for justice in Lagos state, he was also former attorney general of Lagos state as well, amongst his other sterling record of achievements. Indeed, if Nigerians want the desired change they so earnestly clamour for, they should vote for this winning ticket. This is the type of leadership Nigeria craves for, and I have no doubt that the duo will hit the ground running once elected as President/Vice President respectively. A's for the fellow who said "are we going to eat integrity"? May I throw another question at him. Where he currently resides out of the country (and I'm presuming the West), isn't he aware that great men of integrity and with sound vision and the will to implement such built that country he now resides in that affords him the opportunity to thrive in an enabling environment (organised society where everything works)? Go figure.

  6. Oh no! this is an unbelievable mistake. It has no electoral values since APC is comfortable in the South West, one would have expected them to pick a christian from the South South and preferably Rotimi Amaechi. He could have at least with Oshiomole reduced PDP votes from the zone. APC had shot themselves in the leg with the choice of Oshibajo over a political warlord Amaechi who can garner sympathy votes across the nation especially as regards the issue of 16 greater than 19 in the Governors Forum orchestrated by Jonathan PDP.

    3. I don't understand why guys here are rejoicing for the selection of a VP. VPs are ceremonial and do go on errands sent by the president. Yes, he might be a technocrat and all what not, untill he is at the head running thing, that is when his value will become useful to us Nigerians. What have we seen Sambo do on his own, which VP have you seen do anything that affects the lives of its people, they are attack dogs for the party and the president. Look at Joe Biden in the U.S,

I think if it is really true, then APC has just queued till 2019. If APC was thinking about winning this election, what they needed Is an attack dog, Amaechi would have done that very well, he is already out here fighting the establishment, they know him and have not been able to do anything to him, he would have rumbled south south for APC and mess things up for PDP. Now you like it or not the south south, south east will feel left out, and the closest thing they have is a president who is from south south, and who have some south east names. I can bet you that if you go on the streets now in this two zones the talking point will be that they have been left out in the APC politics, and they will rather stick with he devil they know.

OBJ became naija President because he handed over to Civilian Government so tell me why Civilian Government will hand over to Buhari that over threw a Civilian government. Now give GEJ south south votes, south east votes, most likely north east and north central, what do you have left for APC. It is true that we need technocrats but those that will go line up February 14th morning, are not necessarily looking for that, at least for now.

    1. Men you are a poor student of history. Who is the first Governor in Nigeria to govern with a forged certificate from Toronto University. Did Toronto University not deny him?. Did Gani Fawehinmi not fought against this case to remove him as Governor up to supreme court. Did Lagos house of Assembly not collect bribe to sweep this matter under the carpet. As in civil society, did Tinubu resign as a Governor at the wake of the controversy . Google the case of Gani Fawehinmi v IGP and short up.

      Delete
    2. Why make wide and obviously untrue allegation? Tinubu had nothing to do with University of Toronto. What you are probably referring to has to do with the controversy around his attendance of University of Chicago. That controversy has always been resolved in favour of Tinubu and nobody up till today has been able to prove that he did not attend that University. If anything, the University confirmed his status as their alumnus. Mind you, Tinubu worked with multinationals like Deloite and Exxonmobil. You can never work with those companies with fake certificates. Compare him to your choice for presidency who has a doctorate degree, yet his acts since being in public service has not reflected such qualification to the extent that it is now a common saying in the country that his regime is clueless!

Change, change, change, tell us how you are gong to make the change especially now that the oil price is falling. You can't just jump in and stop all these projects of the present administration, from power, railways, bridges and so on and start your own afresh or take us back again. Tell us what you will do when you come in and how you will continue from where the present Government stopped. All these myopic supporters should stop blabbing and get reasonable fact. 1. Please note that if you make it a point not to vote, then you cannot raise a voice of dissent in the polity of that country. As regards to how the APC will effect Change in Nigeria, that is well documented in their manifesto which I'm sure will be made known to Nigerians before the elections. This was stated by the party leaders during the APC presidential primaries last week. In addition, you asked a question, "are we going to eat integrity"? Most certainly, integrity, accountability and transparency are the driving factors of any functional and organised society. So yes, we do need men of integrity to rule Nigeria. If you live in the West, I'm sure you'll be schooled that the founding fathers that built such great nations of the West, we're great men of integrity.

    2. Please tell us how...At least we have not seen how the APC states are better than the current PDP states. They all join hands in telling us Nigeria is messed up and things are not working as if they are not part of the same government that creates this policies in the first place. APC members are part of the SENATE, the Federal executive council meetings and what have you.

THEIFNUBU's reign in Lagos was by far the most bad time ever...He LOOTED Lagos treasury and took state owned properties for himself. After 8 years in power, became one of the richest Nigerians living collecting 5% of Lagos REVENUE to himself. AMBODE is only a plan to ensure his money siphoning legacy continues. In Fashola's eight rule in Lagos, his first four years OUT PERFORMED everything THEIFNUBU had done in his entire 8yrs. Once Fashola got the second term ticket, he slowed down. Where is the fourth mainland bridge that was promised? Please Lagosians are wiser...

GEJ is only being oppressed and bullied because he refused to bow down to selfish godfathers like Obansanjo...A vote for APC Presidency is a vote for Northern bullies and their cohorts who believe its their rights to rule and oppress minorities. The game plan of the SW has been to come back to the centre when the same APC blocked the emergence of a SW at the House because she was a WOMAN and because of THEIFNUBU's gameplan..

We know better and the POLLS will tell!

  42. Some comments on this thread indicates how uninformed some Nigerians are. How in pete's name will someone suggest that Integrity does not have a role to play in the quest for a better Nigeria? For so long, we have clamored for CHANGE & the opportunity to make that happen looks likely with this Buhari/Osibajo combination. Yes I agree with the proponents of “Politics is a game of numbers which is guaranteed by political heavyweights/gladiators” but @ this point in our democracy, shouldn't we make those numbers count for these 2men who for a decent number of us can get the job done? Indeed, it's time to sit back as individuals, evaluate the situation of things in Nigeria, ask ourselves important questions & cast our votes based on the perception of CHANGE & not on sentimental grounds (ethnic/religious). For those who claim Buhari/APC are the supporters of Boko Haram, why has the FG not been able to give us any Intel linking him or his party to the dreaded group? Ask yourself why Azzazi why sacked as NSA & later paid the ultimate price with his soul for daring to expose the "real people behind the BH mask"? If truly Buhari & his party are behind BH, is the FG tryna tell us they can't be brought to justice? These are questions we need to ask ourselves. There's too much insincerity on the part of Govt coupled with massive corruption & impunity. Shall we continue this way? Neither Buhari, nor Osibajo or even the platform on which they stand on can be accorded the class of Sainthood but @least, they have all offerings of making +ve Change happen in Nigeria. God bless us as we reflect on the way forward & God bless Nigeria.

    1. You made a lot of sense. People have failed to use their IQ. We need a change, this is the change. Let somebody shout Hallelujah.

    2. About the best comment! It's stupidly on the part of any government to be pointing accusing finger on any citizen for supporting insurgency when all that is required is investigating and bring hard evidence against such individual. Governance is just maintaining law and order. Nothing more

  46. This is democracy and I am happy reading the different views by every one who commented before me. We are all right in our own capacity, but what you don't know you don't know until you are told.
Buhari and any running mate is better than GEJ, there are lots of facts that point to why but here i'll pick one to share.
Firstly, I congratulate Nigeria on this path to CHANGE. However, we have a lot to do in order to achieve it. One very important issue is the PDP's sponsor of Boko Haram.
Ask me how we know PDP is sponsoring BH; besides the fact we have extracted from credible sources close to the FG, we analyzed the reason for such and here it is (please read this carefully)
Buhari had been following up on his ambition to become Nigeria's President before now and the PDP led govt know that Buhari is one candidate that can sweep them away, not only that, after Buhari is sworn in, almost all PDP corrupt office holders would be tried and jailed. PDP knowing this, they became desperate to make sure it never happens. What was their first step (calculation), Buhari's so called "natural/sympathy votes are expected to pour in from the Northern states. BUT IF THESE STATES DON'T HOLD ELECTIONS, HOW CAN APC ACHIEVE THE DESIRED RESULTS??? PDP decided to create never ending terror in those states using Boko Haram. That is why the FG never agreed with the USA military advisers, that is why there have been no real confrontation. There was a point when the FG was under enormous pressure to fight BH and they knew they had to do something to keep the terror going so they came up with the idea of kidnapping the Chibok girls so that they could use that as Intel to say "there are hostages, we can't attack without planning". THEY ARE GOING TO PLAN UNTIL AFTER ELECTIONS so Buhari/APC doesn't get the votes in those Five States as published recently that BH tried to take over Five Northern States.
There is more, but we are saving to publish later when it matters. If you are a youth and you want an awesome tomorrow for yourself and Nigeria, go and follow @DYMON_Nigeria on twitter and dymon_nigeria on Instagram.

  49. It's quite interesting to read through most of the comments so far. As a nation, our leaders are drawn from among us and not from other countries. It's quite disappointing to see how many of us still think and talk.
I think we should just try and leave religion, tribe, popularity and other potentially insignificant things out and focus on the quality of governance that can be delivered by the aspirants.
We need to change the way we think, the value we place on ourselves, the contribution we can make etc before Nigeria can truly be great.
If you truly love Nigeria, you'll sit back and assess things objectively but most of us are too lazy to research the candidates, too narrow minded to ask the right questions, too greedy to think of the future prosperity of our nation.
We don't even respect ourselves talk less others that's why it's so easy for some to come on platforms like this to slander others. We are all potentials leaders in one way or the other eg @ home, work, societies, church, mosque, clubs etc. what change have you made at your own level that qualifies you to critic others.
I pray this forthcoming election produces the kind of governance that Nigeria needs to have her glory restored.

  50. You now leave us with a hard choice : between the devil and the deep blue sea. We may not like GEJ- for his very poor performance as Nigeria's president, but we are at the same time afraid of the influence of a Bola Tinubu person behind Buhari. If Buhari is clean as some people claim, how can he be a friend of Tinubu at the same time?. Will he be bold to expose the evil of corruption if his associates are the very cesspool of all uncleanliness? .The APC surely has an image problem. Don't call "Lying Mohammed" to defend this please.

  51. Sharaap and shut up your mouth. And stop deceiving your self. APC is not giving you any change. Call a spade "a spade". You will be disappointed with this your APC something. Remember GEJ is not MR. perfect so THERE is no MR perfect in Nigeria.

  54. People like okorocha, ameachi, fashola, oshiohmole and others should relax and waitn for minister!! Cos all the iron man can be in the presidency, they need to monitor the affairs of other sectors!!!! Best choice!! Thanks APC for listen to public view! !! No religious or bribal diffrences!!! That is the change!!!!!

  55. i think th e major problem is not the deputy but the one standing for the post of president. I think Buhari as good minded as he is seems to be out on a revenge mission. apart from that he is also a religious fanatic and having a military background which is a minus.

  56. awesome match! I hope my fellow Nigerians will show their desire to seee this country progress by voting for them.

  57. Wrong move!! Good credible men no doubt but politics will always be a game of numbers and permutations. SW already has d chunk of yoruba votes oblivious of who GMB runnin mate is cos of their superior apc states. Dey shld have given Rochas dat position. What dat means dat more than half of d Igbo's will vote for apc in d hope dat after their tenure Rochas will naturally ascend as an Igbo president. This is one thing that we Igbos want wit our heart and soul. I am already feeling marginalised and alienated by d above apc pair. Up GEJ!! Devil we know....

  59. Nigerians should not use religion and tribes as yardstick for choosing the people that will govern the country for the next four years.Politicians have been using this yardstick to divided the country and rob us of our economic and political right.

Nigerians, lets stand up and vote for candidates that are visionaries.Candidates with integrity and the candidates that have the interest of the people at heart.Tribal and religious sentiment will take us to no where.
If we miss the opportunity of choosing the right candidate,I pray Nigeria will not be in the darkness for another 4 years. Please, vote for the right candidate.Don't vote because of money, tribes or religion .VOTE for the right candidate.Vote for change
